Re: Trouble Streaming Olympic Coverage on NBC Sports

I am trying to watch a live feed. When I enter my activation information I get a message that it worked, but the Roku stays on the code screen and never actually activates.

Re: Firmware update introduced analog audio delay?

The analog audio delay has been there for as long as I've had my Roku HD (2 years). My workaround is to have separate analog outputs -- one from my HDMI-connected TV and another directly from the Roku analog outs -- going into my stereo. If I'm watching TV, I use the audio from the TV (via my receiv...

Re: Mog offering unlimited free for Roku users.Like Pandora

MOG is good, but it's not Spotify. Not even close. When it comes to a library of music, Spotify beats every other streaming music service by at least 2 million songs. So they say, but the numbers don't tell the whole story. If, for example, you want to listen to Pink Floyd or Bob Dylan -- major art...

Re: New Arrested Development episodes exclusively on Netflix

I had heard they were planning to make some new episodes as a lead-in to the motion picture, but this sounds like they're resurrecting the series for real. That is bizarre. I wonder if the original cast is all in.

Re: Spotify channel on the way

I doubt very much that Roku will start supporting Ogg Vorbis. If they were going to do it they already would have. I have no opinion whether Roku will or should support Ogg Vorbis, but there is no reason to say that won't because they haven't yet. I'm sure Roku is willing to make changes to land a ...

Re: Spotify channel on the way

I hope that Spotify, like Mog, will only require the $5/month subscription for Roku streaming. They will probably have to do that to compete.

Spotify channel on the way

From NewTeeVee: "The launch could happen as soon as next month, with mid-January 2012 being mentioned as another possibility. I’ve heard that the channel is basically ready to go, with the only hold up being contractual negotiations between Roku and Spotify." (None of this has been officia...

Re: Will the channel layout ever change?

Just in case the OP isn't aware: You can use the fast forward and fast reverse buttons on the remote to jump through the channels 5(?) at a time.

Re: Boxee Box - wow

If I am going to spend as much time in front of a streaming TV as I do I am going to want as much as I can get and I am not talking about channels and channels of niche and PD material. A lot of Roku users probably don't spend as much time in front of a streaming TV as you do. But even if they do, ...

Re: Kids Channels

akfireman, I highly recommend subscribing to the RSS feed for new streaming releases on Netflix. If not for that, I would easily miss a lot of new stuff for kids. http://www.netflix.com/NewWatchInstantlyRSS You don't mention how old your kids are, but just in the last week or so Netflix added three ...

Re: Cut the cable cord but feeling the pain

Are you saying that if someone has Hulu+ on their TV via a device like the Roku that does not also have some native way to get Hulu, that the Hulu+ content via that device includes everything that is available on Hulu? No, I'm just responding the earlier post's implication that Hulu (non-plus) user...

Re: Cut the cable cord but feeling the pain

It seems a little weird that Regular Hulu gets these shows but paying members of Hulu Plus cannot - anyone else have issue with that? Hulu+ subscribers get everything on "regular" Hulu (i.e. free viewing on your computer) plus more shows/seasons, some of which you can watch on your TV. Th...

Re: Netflix DVD's

Like most of the responders, I have not seen a slowdown in DVD shipping. However, it appears that the number of new DVD titles Netflix gets each week has gone way down. This based on the "new releases on DVD" RSS feed usually updated on Sundays. It used to be well over a hundred a week -- ...
