How do I disable video advertisements on the Netflix app for Roku?

I opened the app and it started repeat playing a video for OitNB. There is NO option to disable it on the Roku or on the Netflix website settings.

Any ideas?

If you hate it, then try doing what I did... rate it 1-star then DELETE it! NBC might get the message.

I've had neverending problems with Hulu as well. Usually, it becomes unresponsive. You try to pause and it ignores you. I deliberately use Home "Up (5x), << (2x), >> (2x)" to reset the box when it's locked up because I WANT to generate an error report. Maybe then, some of the repeated crashes will get fixed.

We cut the cable Sept 15, 2010 and we're subscribers to Netflix & Hulu+.

Those two meet all our needs.

For ME, HBO didn't have much content that I was interested in, so I wasn't a subscriber.

If HBO wants netflix to raise prices for HBO content then screw HBO. If Netflix chooses to cave in to HBO's demands, then Netflix should make it an OPTIONAL service that customers can choose to NOT pay for.

I play my iTunes library through the Roku via the Chaneru. app/channel.. Works great!
