Re: TuneIn - Low Pitched "OK" Sound Every 20 secs.

If you set the "Menu volume" to Off in the Roku settings does the sound go away?

Re: Working with files

To truncate, you have to either read in only the part you're interested in and write it back out or read in the whole file and only write out the part you're interested in. From ifByteArray:  ReadFile(path as String, start_index as Integer, length as Integer) As Boolean  WriteFile(path as String, st...

Re: Port-Forwarding for WAN Control?

There is a lot of Harmony talk in the link you sent; I would like to not have to introduce Harmony at this point.  Is it needed to do the above Alexa bundling? No need to have a Harmony (or even any need to know anything about one).  The project originally used the Harmony Hub in conjunction with t...

Re: Port-Forwarding for WAN Control?

I have not given up on Plan A.  I plan to look to see if I can use one of my PCs to respond to the WAN request and translate it to a HTTP LAN request -- a mini-server-ish kind of thing.  This should provide the Roku with something from the LAN (right?). Figuring it out my be over my head, if so, th...

Re: Port-Forwarding for WAN Control?

It won't work because ECP commands are only accepted from the LAN. There's a Roku skill that may already do what you want: https://www.amazon.com/Roku/dp/B07KCPWH27

Re: Roku TV - No Option/Setting to Use Optical Audio?

Have you ever used an optical connection before? I ask because I know the first time I connected something using an optical cable I got nothing and it turned out I wasn't inserting the cable far enough. I believe it's normal for the optical output to always be active on any TV. Does the optical outp...

Re: Roku subscription currency

I didn't know about that option; must be relatively new. As far as I know, Roku supports US dollar, Canadian dollar, British pound, and Euros. There may be others (probably all of the currencies of supported countries), but those are the ones I've received in the past.

Re: Transfer Roku Channel

You need the original password generated when genkey was run. Since you have access to the Roku account, you can download the last package file. Using that and the original password, you can rekey your development box so that new packages will be keyed to the existing password/key. If you don't have...

Re: Transfer Roku Channel

I just went through this. Contact partnersuccess at roku.com and they should send a form requesting the required information. Hopefully you have the support of the current developer. Keep in mind that any information stored in a user's registry is tied to the Dev ID used to package the channel. You'...

Set your new WiFi up just like the old WiFi - same SSID and password. The stick should connect and you can use the remote app again.

That's good to hear! I'm guessing you've been updated to v9.1 of the firmware? I haven't received it yet.
