I think you have CAPS lock turned on (the box in the upper right with the upward pointing arrow). Turn that off and you'll see the !. They really should turn that off when you change between character sets.

Re: Watch at 2x speed

When I get back to my WMC machine I'll do some tests, but to say recorded content is physical media is ridiculous.

Re: Watch at 2x speed

Windows Media Center had/has this feature (although it was more like 1.5x or less). I think it's a great feature and use it quite often with WMC to get through boring sections of a show or simply watch something more quickly. Especially good for talking head shows.

Re: Private SpeedTest Channel ..... what happened?

No update. I'm pretty much out of the loop. I'm expecting some kind of official channel or firmware integration, but your guess is as good as mine.

Re: Channel to queue up items from multiple channels

Short answer, no. Channels are not privy to any information from other channels. This would have to be a feature of the firmware, so you can try to suggest it in that thread, but don't hold your breath.

Re: Color Codes

I haven't used it, but are you giving a full 32 bit value? You should be using 0x585858FF for the keyValue.

Re: Hulu Live local channels are not local to my area

I'm guessing someone you called would have told you this, but have you tried rebooting everything (modem, router, and Roku in that order)?

Have you tried it without the encryption? Try using the first "OUTPUT_HLS=" line instead of the second and see if it works.

Re: Roku Game Development?

At this point I believe BrightScript is your only option (APKs are most definitely not supported). They used to have an NDK that allowed you to use C/C++ (other languages?), but I believe that's no longer an option and was pretty much reserved for special partners anyway. There was also some other g...

Re: Screen Saver Weather Time missing weather?

No, I wouldn't say there are any resources that would be specific to this. As Roku channels go, it's pretty simple. The tough part was figuring out the interface to weather.gov. There are plenty of generic Roku samples on github, but they tend to be audio/video and UI related. I'm going to have to r...

Re: Roku 3 Remote and Batteries

I don't think you'll ever see 100% with rechargeable batteries. NiMH or NiCd batteries are spec'd at 1.2V whereas primary cells (i.e., non-rechargeable) are spec'd at 1.5V. Both will measure significantly higher than their specifications when new/charged, but the rechargeables will always be lower t...

The Channel Store version was published today. It just goes to show you that you can't believe everything customer service says. :D
