Re: Watch ESPN on TCL ROKU TV

I think the 32" TCL struggles with the 60fps stuff on Watch ESPN, but I don't have a good way to test this theory.

Re: Private SpeedTest Channel ..... what happened?

My guess, and that's all it is since Roku has told me NOTHING, is that Roku may be working on their own method (channel or menu option) for performing a speed test. They approached me in the past to get my code, but I declined.

Re: Issue with roURLTransfer GetCookie API

I agree that it should be fixed, but I've always found it's easier to find a workaround for Roku bugs than to get Roku to fix or even acknowledge them. If your channel relies on Max-Age then you probably should start working on a method to mitigate the bug. You should also report the bug to partnerS...

Re: Roku took down my channel without explanation

I don't think I ever tried it, but you're right! You can download the package and use it to rekey a device. I've been holding onto at least one old package for each of my keys, but I guess that's not really necessary (unless Roku removes your package and replaces it with one of their own). Way back ...

Re: What's this new nonsense?

It's an error, so there's no way to submit the package.  It may be related to this .  Roku replaced my package with one of their own with no notification to me.  Nice, huh? I don't know how I missed this .  It looks like this started a couple of months ago.  If rekeying the device with an old packag...

Re: Private SpeedTest Channel ..... what happened?

It appears they replaced my package with a generic "Out of Service" package.  I am unable to replace it, but whether that's because they took down the channel for some reason or implemented a new hoop to jump through I just don't know.  If they took the channel down for a reason you'd thin...

Roku took down my channel without explanation

From static analysis:  "devid of submitted package does not match devid of previously submitted package" I thought this was because I was using a different device than the one I used to package it originally, but it appears that's not the case. Everyday it's something new and it's never go...

Re: Private SpeedTest Channel ..... what happened?

This is all very disturbing.  I know Roku has been doing a "review of open publisher accounts".  I wonder if they're mucking with old private channels. I don't believe I've ever had a v1.0 build 103.  All my channels either start with build 1 and increments by 1 for each release and is res...

Hmm... I certainly didn't update it.  What version number does it show when you highlight the channel on the main screen and press the asterisk button?

Re: Issue with roURLTransfer GetCookie API

I see the same thing you do.  You could use GetResponseHeadersArray() and parse the headers/cookies yourself. Brightscript Debugger> ?msg.getresponseheadersarray() <Component: roArray> = [    <Component: roAssociativeArray>    <Component: roAssociativeArray>    <Component: roAssociativeArray>    <Co...

Re: ROKU 3 overheating issue

Sorry, those directions just take me to Custom Theme, nothing called Platform Secret Screen. This is a Roku 3, 2015 model. I'd have to say you're doing it wrong. I have the same model and that button sequence has worked for years. I believe you have to be using the remote, so if you're using an app...

When you publish a channel you select the minimum required firmware version.

Re: ROKU 3 overheating issue

What temperature does it show on the Platform Secret Screen? Press Home 5 times, FF, Play, Rew, Play, FF Note: The Rew, Play, and FF buttons are all in the same row (don't confuse Left/Right arrows with Rew/FF). You have to complete the entire sequence within a few (15?) seconds and you should ignor...

Re: Does Roku Speed Test Channel selection determine server for streaming?

The selection of a speed test server has no bearing on streaming.  Ideally, you'd get good results no matter what speed test server you select.  The point of trying different servers is more to tell you if there's a problem beyond the closest server.  You should see the best results when using the c...

You need to add yourself as a test user: https://developer.roku.com/users

It sounds like there's something more going on since you say they disappear.
