Re: DoOrder() Error, "min 1 max 2 items in order"?

Order isn't an roarray, it is a content node with children, like above. I don't know about that.  I think the problem is he should be using code , not guid .  Here's how I do it (leaving out the SG stuff): channelStore = CreateObject("roChannelStore") code = "mycode" port = Crea...

You need a real remote to get through the welcome/setup screen.

Re: global as a reserved word

I figured if anyone could find it in the online docs RokuNB could. Searching the old PDF for "global" I found the passage in a matter of seconds. Searching online... well, I never did find it in the 30+ seconds I allocated for the search. :-) I'm just not willing to do a search and then an...

Re: global as a reserved word

This was from one of the original BrightScript Reference Manuals (PDF): "BrightScript does not support global variables. Except, there is one hard-coded global variable "global" that is an interface to the global BrightScript Component. The global component contains all global library...

Re: Update Text Above Channel Poster in Side-Loaded App?

I'd point the finger at Eclipse. Check the manifest that's in the zip Eclipse created and see if it reflects the changes you made. Note: I've never used Eclipse.

Re: DeepLinking - After playback behaviour

I would think the same thing should happen after playback whether the video was chosen by deep-linking or chosen via the UI.

Re: 2 Quick Questions About Live Stream Channel

If it opens and plays the stream without any intermediate screens, I don't see how deep linking could apply. There would be no difference in behavior if a "deep link" was supplied or wasn't supplied. I'd just submit it and see what Roku has to say.

Re: Do I have to add a contentNode to disable CC

Yes, you need main.brs (it has the Main function). CraigVenter.srt is referenced in SpringBoard.brs in the components directory.

Re: Do I have to add a contentNode to disable CC

Glancing at the source on github, I'm guessing they're coming from CragVenter.srt in the source directory. Remove that file and they'll be gone. That's not really the right way to do it (remove/replace the reference in the code), but it will get the job done.

Re: Problem with the PlayerTask

The .brs and .xml files with the same names should probably be in the same directory.  Look in the XML files for something like: <script type="text/brightscript" uri="pkg:/components/screens/Player.brs" /> In this case, they'd both go in the components/screens directory. -JT

Re: how to turn off roku TV through the web?

I don't know about ECP, but this works (in Linux):
echo press \# | telnet 192.168.0.121 8080

Of course, replace 192.168.0.121 with your Roku's IP address.

Re: MPEG2 support: patent expires worldwide, almost

WTV recordings will play on my Roku TV if I repackage them into an MKV file (no transcoding required). Or, is the question whether WTV file/container is supported natively?

Re: Roku remote won't pair properly

I've had remotes that will only pair with a certain set of batteries installed. It's weird. Two sets of brand new batteries (different brands) and one set will get the remote to pair and the other won't. Usually, once it's paired I can use any batteries I want.

Re: Hope simple change to wrap channel clips

I can't say that I follow the code and all the XML feeds enough to offer any advice. This SG stuff makes it flower near impossible to follow someone else's code. I'd say just try it and see what happens. I suspect it will only take the first <feed> entry and ignore the rest.
