Re: MLB.TV fast forward

Isn't there a progress bar with current time and time remaining that updates as you fast forward? I haven't used MLB TV in quite some time. I'm afraid that's the only feedback you'll get. A pitching change usually takes 2 to 3 minutes.

You can try setDebugOutput().  I don't know if that will get you what you want or not.

Re: Setup Developer on Roku

Press the buttons as fast as you can and ignore anything happening onscreen. Also, you are using the right/left arrows and not FF/Rew, right?

Re: SD memory card incompatibility

It should only fit in one orientation. I think the pins face down. Make sure it clicks into place. You usually have to use your fingernail to get it to go all the way in. When it's in all the way, it will be pretty much flush with the case.

Re: Enhanced Remote - Strange Pairing Behaviour

It definitely sounds like there's something wrong with the 5GHz hardware. Have you tried changing your 5GHz AP's channel to 44 to see if the Roku can see it?

Re: Enhanced Remote - Strange Pairing Behaviour

telnet to your Roku's IP address port 8080.  You should get a prompt.  I'm not sure whether or not the Development Application Installer has to be enabled for it to respond on that port, so if you don't get a prompt or can't connect you may be out of luck since it takes another remote control key pr...

Re: Enhanced Remote - Strange Pairing Behaviour

Yeah, you kind of need a real remote; the phone app won't work. There is a way to do it via telnet if you're so inclined.

Re: Roku Commercial Crash Loop

Drummernaut, you've got it right. Streams just wants to blame the Discovery channel with absolutely no proof. A "bad" ad can and will crash the box. In fact, there's a thread going on right now in the developer's forum about just such an ad. An ad delivered by the Roku Ad Network and rende...

Re: Live TV Pause "USB too slow"

My 32GB PNY drive that works with my 32" TCL TV tests at 9.46MB/s write and 22.6MB/s read using H2testw. I only ran the test for about 6 min and CrystalDiskMark wouldn't offer to test the drive. I got the PNY drive at Walmart on Black Friday for something like 5 bucks, so it's nothing special. ...

Not true.  Most, if not all, ad rendering relies on the Roku Ad Framework.  The code is written and maintained by Roku and hidden from developers.

Re: Channel stuck loading

What are you using for your server? Is there any traffic while it's stuck on loading? I did notice with the v8.1 firmware that if your server's initial response doesn't include the "Accept-Ranges: bytes" header then the Roku won't make range requests and it just starts requesting the entir...

Re: Enhanced Remote - Strange Pairing Behaviour

Have you looked at any of the settings/info in the "Platform Secret Screen" (press Home 5x, then FF, Play/Pause, Rewind, Play/Pause, FF at about 2 button presses per second)? It might be interesting to see what channel it's using when you have it connected via a wired connection, although ...

Re: Wrong In-Channel Products loaded from Store

Well that's new! I hadn't seen that and haven't tried it, but I'd have to say that since you're getting the old sample products that something isn't set up quite right (or it doesn't work as documented which isn't all that uncommon for Roku).
