Re: Not enough space

I got the same error when trying to add a channel.  Same model and software version.  Did the reset to factory and everything loaded.

So you say that I can copy the whole "iTunes Library" folder onto my NAS and then tell the iTunes Server running on it, to use that Library? There won't be a iTunes server running on the NAS but its own, like Twonky. But, yes you copy your directories over, tell it what top level folder t...

Syncing to a NAS is a reasonable solution and many others have done it. I've found that the simplest way to sync is just to copy the entire iTunes library music folder over to my NAS after adding anything. It is not very clean but it works. I never looked at rsync as I don't add things that often. T...

SoundBridge discontinued?

Roku's main web site removed all references to the SoundBridge and BrightSign. Are we now officially using legacy products?

You missed a good link buried in one of the old posts. Take a look at frequal's list at http://frequal.com/roku/AllPhotoBridgeApps.html

If your PhotoBridge won't boot fully you can monitor the process and see what error messages are coming up. Attach a serial cable to the RS232 port. Run a terminal program like Hyperterm at 115k baud and power cycle.

That's how I figured out that my internal flash died :(

Have you asked your neighbor if they can see your machines? You should verify that your router is giving out a local 192.168.y.x address that is independent from Qwest's addresses.

I don't think that you are crazy, but maybe a dreamer 8) . From everything read here Roku has not spent much development lately so only some basic improvements are possible. Improved features that I expect to bring it up to date: 1 - Different power supply 2 - More flash and RAM 3 - Faster CPU 4 - U...

From the business perspective it doesn't make sense to spend development efforts for a product that has stopped shipping. If they really do start shipping again then they can justify spending $$$. A lot of Roku's problem is no advertising so consumers don't know what Roku products can do for them. T...

Give up on WPA

I think everyone needs to accept the fact that it will be a long time before WPA support is available for the "legacy" SoundBridges, if ever. Roku has stated that they will develop first for the M1001/R1000 since it has a new wireless chipset that makes it easier. Saying that they are preparing the ...

How about new IR codes for the presets in 2.5? A,B,C and 1-6. Those of us with programable universal remotes could use it now, figure out what really works, then Roku can come out with a new remote later?

It is amazing that any are bought in the store. The BB near me always has them on the shelves but never any set up. Now I see the M500 on clearance for $99. Even at that price they are getting dusty!

WYEP radio .pls problem

WYEP is a great station here in Pittsburgh. Unfortunately I couldn't stream it properly since it looks like the SoundBridge doesn't interpret a multi-file playlist correctly. After playing File1 it should go to File2 but instead keeps repeating File1 and never gets to File2. http://www.publicb...

Case changes

If you get room could you add a tunnel on the inside the SoundBridge so that cables could be re-routed out the other end. That or a access panel in the back center. Wireless is great but I still have the power and digital coax to deal with. Another good thing would be a 12v trigger output or input. ...
