How about MPTV? Sort of like MP3.... Alternatively, I also like Stream-TV. Drew PS: I have to admit, that this device would be useless to me w/o a front end like Roku since I have no interest in building or using a HTPC in my HT setup. If we could figure out a way to set this up to also interface wi...

OK. I've seen the light. This seems like a cool project. I'm not ready to pump out a check to r111 but this does seem like a very cool device that now seems to be shipping. Seems like Engadget got a test unit so I suspect we'll get one as well... http://www.engadgethd.com/2006/10/30/engadget-hd-revi...

The Endless, these all seem like great additions to the package. You keep updating it before I even have a chance to upgrade to the latest version. Which is good in a way :-). Been too busy at work to upgrade. Thanks so much!!! I'll make a suggestion for others to comment on, but I really haven't th...

The PB doesn't have a DVD player. The issue with the IO player is upconverting of standrd DVD's via component connections which is specificaly not allowed under the DVD licensing agreement.

Is there anyway to make the defautl view the large icon view (command line switch or setup option maybe)? I had the same question, and found the answer on the MPlay web site - there is a new command line switch: -largeicons I never looked at the command lne options before. There are a few there tha...

The Endless. You rule. What an awesome update. Can't wait to check it out. I wonder if the forum members had any interest in starting to collect a set of filename.txt collection of movies so that you could just download the files for the movies you own. If you create new .txt files you can send them...

That is the product. I started with the NSLU2 and had some success with it. There is a whole community of folks looking to hack it open and do all sorts of stuff. http://www.nslu2-linux.org/ Implementing NFS and getting a script on Roku to allow NFS shares does work, but I couldn't figure out how to...

ISOs are a disk image. I assume your PC is simply reading the image via its internal DVD player. generally you have to mount the file as a disk image to play them back but its interesting that you can do so only by renaming them to mpg. Try ripping the files as a single VOB file anda renaming it to ...

The Readynas NV from Infrant streams high bitrate 24.6 M2T files with only the very occasional glitch. Lower bitrates play flawlessly. I give it the highest recomendation possible.

That is my next test. I haven't had a chance to update mplay and enable upnp. I'm going to try it first with infrant's built in upnp server. I'm not sure I'm going to puchase the twonky server addon since i don't have any other upnp enabled media adapters. I'll update the thread when I get some resu...
