Re: Question on using POST /launch/

For my Philips pronto 9400 remote here is the script that I use. I have a page on my remote that shows my "favorites", In each button I call the function: roku_launch(11); //where the value is the id of the channel. In the activities page I store the actual function : function roku_launch(...

Re: Roku sends a 404 on /Keypress/Home

I'm having the exact problem you describe in the Netflix channel but also in the ROKU Channel Store. The commands work perfectly in other channels otherwise. If you press the arrow keys many times in a row the selection may move once. Context: I'm sending the commands via the Philips Pronto 9400. Th...

Re: Infrared Hex Code for the instant replay button

I created an XCF file with a bunch of new ROKU commands via prontoscript. - Direct tuning of channels straight from remote buttons - a remote keyboard to do alpha/numeric entry (ie Netflix, Amazon, etc [doesnt work on Hulu+]) - Queries the Roku and displays on the Pronto the channels you have instal...

Re: Infrared Hex Code for the instant replay button

I was able to make a button with the following PS code to access the Info feature. Change '10.0.0.21; to the address of your ROKU. I use a Pronto TSU9400. Now exploring how I can use the new ROKU External control guidelines to do more cool stuff,... var socket = new TCPSocket(true); socket.connect(&...

Re: My Media - Your Music and Video on the Roku DVP

Anyone else having problems with MyMedia after upgrading the Roku to 2.8? Videos that previously played fine now stop after 1 block on the progress bar. Other channels play fine. I am using a DNS323 NAS for my server. I rebooted the NAS and the ROKU. When I go to the server RSS feed 10.0.0.151:8001 ...

@aamster
Have you tried multiple videos with the same outcome? What are the specs of the video that fails?

Re: My Media - Your Music and Video on the Roku DVP

Thought I'd give it a try since I hadn't done any streams yet and http://kmd.hdcast.net:9060/ worked fine.

Re: My Media - Your Music and Video on the Roku DVP

Figured out the issue I was having using a DNS323 as the media server. I removed the Optware Python installations and instead used FFP Python 2.5.2 and the Segmentation Faults disappeared. Now I can finally begin playing with My Media! Thanks Buaboo and renojim for your suggestions and encouragement.

@buaboo I just tried it. So now I'm pretty sure that Python is functioning properly /mnt/HD_a2/ipkg/opt/exec/roku_media_server/server # python2.6 Python 2.6.5 (r265:79063, Mar 21 2010, 01:25:01) [GCC 3.3.3] on linux2 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license&...

Re: My Media - Your Music and Video on the Roku DVP

@renojim I re-downloaded the server directory to the DNS323 and still had the same error. @buaboo I have doublechecked the path by trying it fully qualified and unfortunately had the same result. There are a lot of permission differences . I'll have to look them over and try a few alternatives. Than...

Re: My Media - Your Music and Video on the Roku DVP

Thanks - I updated the paths so they were consistent. Same "Segmentation fault" error. Thinking maybe I have a permissions problem. Here is what my directory that holds rss_server.py looks like. Can you share your directory? ( type ls -l ). Thanks much! /mnt/HD_a2/ipkg/opt/exec/roku_media_...

Re: My Media - Your Music and Video on the Roku DVP

Springboard does not run (see below). My understanding of the DNS-323 install process is that the config.ini is prepared on your PC and then copied over to the DNS323 so springboard is not used for the config. Launch server button is not used either - a script on the DNS323 (linux) is executed. Adit...

Re: My Media - Your Music and Video on the Roku DVP

I looked at the config.ini from within VI and removed it. Retested. You are right...not the solution to this problem...but might prevent a different one.

Is there really a ^M at the end of your python path in your config.ini? Not that that's your problem, but it doesn't look right.

Re: My Media - Your Music and Video on the Roku DVP

Segmentation Fault? I've spent the better part of 2 days trying to solve this myself but I am stumped. I'm installing this on a DNS-323 using ffp 0.5 Instaled Optware and then Python 2.6 without any visible errors. My config.ini is below. No log file is created in the directory. Client installed fin...
