Appropriate Posting?

The only reason I'm still in the Roku forums is for MPlay and SlimRoku updates. I can assure you I will not buy another Roku product with the customer support experiences on the HD1000. RokuMike - You make claims of what is appropriate behavior, but perhaps Roku should also look at their own behavio...

The only feedback you will get from a Roku representative is if you post something attempting to impersonate them. The squeaky wheel on the Roku bus doesn't gets the grease. I'll give you an A+ for the effort though.

I would say the general consensus of users in these forums are here to provide feedback to the 3rd party developers because Roku is clearly not applying resources to patch their SDK. People do still place product feedback posts though. I think those individuals are either "rookies" to the forums or ...

You're looking at an article and apparently unknowingly celebrating its 1 yr anniversary of posting. That's old news ... note the date of publish, 2005. No I didn't go to CES, but also see my other recent posting in the General Discussion about my views of CES show and Roku demonstrating the Soundbr...

At a price point below the PB and seeming to offer all the same features and more ... I think I've found something worth trying. Actually, I think once people see what you can do once you convert your media to digital and share it throughout the house wirelessly I think there's a large potential and...

Yes, I'm enjoying what I've got thanks to the open source development skills of others. I can assure Roku sales though if a competing product hits the market in the future that offers similar features the Roku PB does, their customer service model will have both hands on my back pushing me to buy a ...

CES Show and Photobridge

Anyone else notice the soundbridge and radio products are being marketed with a higher profile than the PhotoBridge? For all the millions of iPod lovers out there I would think they [Roku] would want to show it off with the iTunes/SlimRoku integration and album art at CES on a flat panel. Just how w...

As always improssive features being added in record time! I've just now had a chance to play around with the iRadio feature. I really like it and had seen others asking about a "save to favorites" or "recently played' feature. I too would love to have this. I also, find the names of the stations con...

I've actually had the same problem. Maybe a configurable option in a settings file or in the cmd line startup? User could choose to set the delay to his/her desired value?

Hey Endless,

I was wondering if you had a chance to take a look at the debug.txt file I had sent you and if it was helpful. The problem I was seeing with the 0.9b is that when I select the "Playlists" the system no longer responds to the remote commands (lock up and reboot necessary).

Thanks

As most computer problems things happen amazingly at the same time. I haven't done much, rebooted both roku and my router and the problem seems to have gone away.

Still able to play a DVD movie wirelessly, without stutters.

chackett -- You're not alone there buddy. To others I would upgrade with caution!!! My Roku was blazingly FASTER with 2.0.35. After installing the upgrade via the online method the time it takes for it to scan media is horrific. MPlay, SlimRoku struggle to open. Music plays unstuddered, but I can't ...

Awesome job on turning another version. The much anticipated feature for me to try ...... iTunes Playlist support. When testing the new version, I found the Roku will lock up every time if I go to the Playlists from the Menu button. It presents the "playlists" dialogue empty and locks up the Roku. A...

For what it's worth, I play DVDs wirelessly with the D-Link 624 and 820 Game Adapter bridge. I've only tried 2 DVDs until I can get more disk space, but it seems to be working. When I first set it up I had intermittent audio and choppy video then I spent some time tinkering with it and got it dialed...
