bad unit

Just what exactly is wrong with your unit(s)? I see that you've made only made a couple of Troll-ish posts on this forum, instead of asking for any assistance from your fellow users. Hopefully you have searched the forum to see if anyone else has had the issue that you have encountered before sendin...

Noise

What model Soundbridge do you have? Some M1001 owners have reported noise issues. Use "Search" for more info. Here is a "how-to-rip better" FAQ: http://wiki.hydrogenaudio.org/index.php?title=LAME Also google for "Exact Audio Copy" for better rips. http://www.saunalahti....

Long wires

The Soundbridge is not meant to be used in place of long wires running from the PC to your amp, if that's what you want. There are programs (VisualMR) that will control the Soundbridge from your PC very nicely. Look here:

Computer

You have described three problems, 2 of which indicate a problem with your computer, and not the Soundbridge. Have you presented the Windows Media Player issue on the Microsoft forums? The Firefly issue is likely related to whatever is crashing the computer using WMP.

M1000

You can just run a cable to it. Or you can get something called a gaming adapter. It takes the place of the (M1000) Soundbridge's wireless link to the Router with much better results than the built in wireless. The Soundbridge is just wired to the gaming adapter. Use the "Search" feature o...

DLInk Router

Which DLink Router are you using? There have been problems with some of them. Use the "Search" feature of the forum with the model number, to see if there have been reported problems with your DLink model.
Good Luck!

@MrHRdg: That CF card won't work in a Soundbridge. Return it. The only one that works is the type that came with it. Hopefully you didn't damage anything.....

Belkin router

This worked for a Belkin N1: The multicast option is called UPnP on the router. Make sure UPnP is enabled on the Router's Utilities menu. Make sure it's set to 802.11 b+g operation Try the "20 MHz operation" only option Turn Protected Mode ON If using wireless security, try to connect with...

Alarms

The Roku guys rarely talk about new features coming up in future releases, but you can check out the other threads: http://forums.rokulabs.com/viewtopic.php?t=12939&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 The bottom line is to buy the product for what it does now, not for possible future releas...
