Have you tried hooking it up with a wired ethernet cable? Have you also tried resetting the router?

Re: Roku Sucks in Playing Netflix

Brand and make of modem and router. Wired or wireless? Reset the Roku? Reset the modem? Reset the router? Tried the Roku ...

You are not going to get much help here unless you help us, tell us what model, what your network consists of, download speeds, how is the box hooked up etc.etc.

Re: XDS CONNECTION PROBLEM

Try setting it up with a wired connection first. I have the same router but the GS version and its over 5 years old and i have no problems what so ever. You do not need a newer router whoever told you that.

Re: turns on, turns off, turns on, turns off....

If the power supply is still working yet not supplying enough current, the box will act funny. So, don't rule out the power supply until you try another. Some of the early models had power supply problems.

Re: HDMI works on one tv but not the other

Try the reset button and let us know if that helped. The Roku may have been getting the latest update and wasn't finished. You can also try the composite(yellow)video output hooked to any tv and see if its works with that. If it is an older model, some had problems with the power supply going bad.

Call up your ISP, tell them you are thinking about switching to another company, see if they will give you a discount on a higher speed.

The roku keyboard does not have the same layout as a regular keyboard, be sure you are typing in the password correctly.

Re: Satellite tv

Looks like the fastest is the pro package at $79.99 month for 1.5mps. That might get you hd, i think they recommend 1.5-3.0 or faster, i forget. No way i would pay that price for that speed. If you have phone service att or verizon, go to their web site and type in your address they should let you k...
