Re: Is Time Warner Cable blocking Roku?

Time Warner is not blocking you friend...you have a problem with your network somewhere. I have had Time Warner standard internet for over five years....no issues. Motorola surfboard modem and my own Netgear wndr-3300 router. If you haven't already, try cycling the modem, router and roku. My guess i...

Re: Roku will not connect to internet

I just purchased my Roku 2xd at Best Buy last night -- went through setup successfully until after the software update, then no connection to my network. Exactly the same problem as described in previous post. I've reset and rebooted multiple times and each time the software update installs, and th...

Re: beta test

You don't ask them, they ask you. It's an offer you can't refuse. On occasion, you'll see a posting in these forums asking for beta testers. Other times, they really do reach out to regular forum members. Depends on their mood, and what they're looking for. +1....if you receive an offer, take it. 8)

Re: Changed routers; now Roku won't connect

Since you say you just bought a new router, are you using the default SSID? It should be changed to signify your personal home network. Check and re-check all your wireless settings and be sure your router is running the latest firmware. Also, I have noticed many times you can successfully connect j...

Re: Live OTA Broadcasts on Roku

Buckeye and JamBandit, this device still uses an antenna. It does not stream OTA content over the internet. http://www.boxee.tv/live I know, as is, it seems totally redundant to me too :-) Ok...cool if it still makes use of an existing OTA setup, pretty neat feature...but I highly doubt it will sel...

Re: Live OTA Broadcasts on Roku

Also, the superior hi-def picture you get only with OTA would fly out the window. I could only see it if your location prevented you from receiving OTA signals.

Re: Wifi on Roku2 VS. Roku1.

Using Wireless G 2.4ghz. Sometimes when using the Microwave the wireless will slow or drop out. Usually it still plays. It would be rare. However even if it re-buffered while the Microwave was running. I could still quickly resume after I was done nuking whatever. That was with the Roku1. The Roku2...

Re: Firmware push killed my box and tech support is worthles

Here's an update to my wireless problems with the Roku. I finally got someone to give me an RMA through the online chat system. Sent the box off on Monday. They say they will return it within 3 days upon receipt. Not sure if they will fix it or send the new Roku 2. Still no idea whether my problem ...

Re: Netflix sound problems

Same problems here as well. Not happening with older model Roku....just the Roku2. (Just with Netflix though) Latest in the newspaper, Netflix is down 600,000+ subscribers... if better attention is not given to their streams than this, those numbers will continue to decline. This is most certainly o...

Hulu problems? Imagine that! :D The very reason I cancelled my subscription. It would be a great channel if it would simply work....maybe one day.

My post count has absolutely no bearing on how well my unit works. :P But I can say, my Roku2 performs just as well as my older XD...with quite a few improvements. I am pretty happy with it. 8)
