I'll check the PC settings - I suspect the issue is there, too. However, nothing is wired. It's all wireless.

That could well be your problem. Is it possible to connect your server to the router via ethernet?

Re: roksbox -Streaming Local Media Channel Available for Tes

If you can control whatever music application you're using on your server from your phone, you can stream to the Roku without needing to see the screen. It's not possible with Roksbox, but it is with the SHOUTcast channel or a similar channel . Windows only, not sure how to do it with Mac. I don't ...

Re: roksbox -Streaming Local Media Channel Available for Tes

As I alluded to in my earlier posts, now that the Roku LT has been announced in the UK I was beginning to consider it for audio streaming duties. I was hoping that in combination with the iOS remote control app, I wouldn't have to have the Roku connected to a screen (apart from initial setup). I had...

Roku's website says that the XS supports playback of aac audio files on the USB channel so why can't roksbox support aac audio files?

I can confirm that Roksbox does play .m4a files with the AAC codec.

Hi hozedhead, thank you for your reply; much appreciated and gives me food for thought!

Re: roksbox -Streaming Local Media Channel Available for Tes

so why can't roksbox support aac audio files? I am pretty sure it will play AAC audio, I haven't tried it, but I doubt WilDD would have disabled AAC in the App. Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately the roksbox website states in multiple places that the only supported audio files are mp3 and wma. Unl...

Re: roksbox -Streaming Local Media Channel Available for Tes

I am interested in using a Roku as a low-power, low-cost LAN streaming device (just audio at first but maybe video some time in the future) so using something like Roksbox would be vital for me. According to the FAQs at roksbox.com, only .mp3 and .wma are supported for audio files. Why are aac audio...

iPod has no vibration, though...so I get no response at all. So I would still go for removing the '+' or change it to a '-' (to remove it from queue, if this is supported at all). Or disable the '+' (grey it out). Gah! obvious mistake, I shall look at adding more feedback in v2.1 for ipoders, im th...

Sales of Plasma TVs are to be banned by our government here in the UK Source please. I've not heard about this. a 42-inch Plasma TV consumes 830 watts of electricity in comparison with only 330 watts for a flat-screen 42-inch LCD and 320 watts of a 32" CRT Whilst it's generally true to say tha...

My Signal Quality is still only 41 (strength is -52dB). Maybe I'd be better off if I just ignored it? Does anybody know what that is actually measuring? I'm not sure anyone does! I don't recall anyone from Roku ever saying exactly what it means, and given they don't post 'round here any more... You...

Well, it's also important to consider that it would be a mistake for someone to spend a disproportionately large amount of time on one customer, no matter how irate they get. Do you not think that perhaps whatever Wideasleep1's ISP did to fix his problem, will also have helped out any other of said...
