yeah, I do miss the quiet factor of the backend not being in the living room but it's worth the tradeoff to have a fully functional frontend. Maybe I'll get one of those water cooling units that are 100% silent. I had to upgrade my backend today, I'll give UPnP another try and see if it is any bette...

I upgraded my backend a few weeks ago to checkout the UPnP functionality. I found that: - the roku desktop UPnP client support is fairly weak. It didn't list all of the shows correctly and sometimes it would hang on a folder and not list anything at all - the MPlay UPnP client support is a little be...

I don't think it is dead, just on a bit of a break. I've been doing some work on it but I haven't sent Elwood any diffs in a while. I spoke to him a couple of months ago and he had sql working which was one of the steps needed for LiveTV and a lot of other features like commercial skipping, more acc...

I have two PVR-150s and I'm able to playback 0.19 SD recordings with mythroku. It doesn't take much for the roku box to loose audio though :( You could try running mpeg2repair (windows app) on the SD recording that are giving you problems and see if roku can play them then.

On this topic, it would be really cool if mythroku accepted a regular mythfrontend theme. That way folks wouldn't have to spend time to write mythroku specific themes, we could just use the ones that are already out there. mysql would be great to have, it would certainly open the door for commercial...

It was recorded via 256QAM. Most of the time the local cable company does show a couple of SD streams too but during the olympics they cut out one of those altogether and the other is just radar. They are intentionally dedicating a lot of bandwidth to the HD stream because it is the olympics. I'll h...

HD olympic coverage...can you stream it without any problems

I'm using MythRoku to watch olympic coverage that I recorded with mythtv but I've been having lots of problems where the sound cuts out or the video stutters. I've been working on MythRoku making some tweaks here and there and from what I can see in my debugs olympic speed skating in HD is very very...

Not that I know of but that would be cool if it would automatically switch to 4:3 mode for 4:3 content.

For you issue #2, try running mythfilldatabase, restart the backend, record some content and see if you have any luck.

For #1 it's either rotate or zoom in/out that you use to go through the different screen formats.

Sometimes if my backend is busy (commercial flagging or transcoding) then I will loose audio when I try to play an HD show. I'm not sure if that only happens for transcoded shows or not though because I am transcoding everything to remove the commercials.

Another vote here to focus on .19 support.

The lossless mpeg2 trancode is pretty cool, I've been using it to rip out commercials since mythroku doesn't have commercial skip support yet.

I don't have cvs installed on the roku yet so no official diffs but this is what I changed to make it work with svn: MythBrowser::OnPaint - I was getting a segfault in paintEpisodeDetails so I commented out that section. I'm still narrowing down what is causing the segfault: // For the current episo...

I'll clean up the diffs tonight and post them. I added a lot of stuff to the debugs in libcmyth so the diffs are a lot larger than what is required to work with svn. Just apply what you do and don't want :) As for distcc, I have it running on my backend (have used it for compiling myth on xbox so I ...

I put together some diffs to get MythRoku working with latest SVN. I can post them tonight if anyone is interested.
