Hi, I got my Roku and MPlay working greatly now from SMB share with thumbnails and all, good work guys. I have few feature suggestions: 1) possibility to have "default" image directory for files with known prefix, e.g. TV series would have same thumbnail for different episodes. I mean a subdirectory...

Cant connect to PB once edited rc.local

Hi, I tried to put smb network swapfile to get started automatically on PB startup by putting the needed commands to rc.local... I made some typo and now the PB is in some loop in startup, constantly blinking the led. Is there any way to recover from this situation, e.g. way to boot to "linux single...

I posted a query to Roku customer support for PAL MPEG2 TS support. Well see how they respond... I actually managed now to convert the Nebula TS format file (in nebula terms Original broadcast format) to PS file that Roku can play. You can do it with Nebula DigiTV software tools (file->tools->DVD co...

Hi, I have also HD1000 and same firmware and I'm suffering from the same problem with PAL. My problem is with Digital TV recordings with Nebula PCI-T card directly to MPEG2 TS PAL format. Roku cannot play it with builtin player or with MPlay (fixTS option of mplay has no affect). I read from MPlay F...

I got Nero working (see edit on my previous post). I just have too slow CPU. I was wondering how do you see the filenames on Roku? I browsed the videos by folder and did not get any filenames visible, just empty thumbnails and error message on top of them saying stating something like "error happene...

How did you manage to get Nero mediahome working? I tried also the evaluation version of Nero Media home CE and could not get roku to play/show anything except my MP3 files and photos? Edit: OK I figured it out. My dual athlon MP 2100 machine doesn't have enough cpu power to transcode the file on th...

Yes this is a valid MPEG2 TS recorded withouth any transcoding. I can demux the same video with project-x and then author it to DVD-video disk with withouth any transcoding.

Roku cant play MPEG2 TS files correctly

Hi, I just bought Roku photobridge 1500. I wan't to use it to play recordings recorded with Nebula DVB-T PCI card and Nebula software (windows). Hi, Yes I'm using winxp firewall. I'll try to turn it off (disconnecting adsl before that) and see if it helps... in long term I'm moving to linux server, but I still have Nebula PCI DVB-T card still on my windows machine and didn't get it working easily on linux (used about 20 hours or hacking and ...

WindowsXP halts

Hi, I wonder if anyone else has had problem with WindowsXP pro SP2 machine. When I started sharing files to Roku PhotoBridge it seems to totally go to halt after viewing/playing any files from SMB share. I is not related to any of the applications (listen, photo, mplay), it seems to be just the amou...

Hi, Isn't the VNC protocol designed so that client desides what color depth is used and the client end? So this means that if you have 32bit desktop it's VNC servers responsibility to downgrade the bitmaps to 24bits before sending it to VNC client. So it does not display 32 bit graphics, but you can...

Mounting multiple disks as one share to roku

Hi, Interesting topic indeed. I suggest you to use windows mountvol or if file server is linux use ln -s to make one directory structure which is then shared to roku (NFS share or SMB share). This way you dont have to mess up with anything on roku and everything works "automatically" after doing it ...
