Not the most capable PDA out there, but it runs VMR perfectly.

Hi Dave, I have no idea about Roku's plans for implementing G on the Soundbridges and I doubt that it's even possible TBH. What I can say is that while mine was working, it did work perfectly for over a year (streaming 320kb mp3s from an unslung NSLU2, and internet radio), and if my neighbour's netw...

1 - Most wireless routers give you the choice of using g, b or both together. You will need to make sure that yours is set to the "both together" option as the Soundbridge is a b-only device. Based on my experience, if you possibly can, run a cat5 cable directly to your SB from your router...

Roku Radio

I havent posted here, or even looked to be honest, for a long time, mainly because I got a bored bored of reading about people complaining about something they didn't know how to use. I've just discovered Radio Roku. The site upgraded the firmware on my Soundbridge to v 3.0.37 (slightly unexpectedly...

If your only concern is speed of file transfer then I would just go ahead get the NSLU2. It's not blisteringly quick, but running (huge) backups here doesn't take that long, and day-today transfer of normal sized files is not an issue, for me at least.
I'm certainly happy with mine.

I tried this earlier and I get the same result. Is it tailored to the bigger display on the M2000?

If you look back up the console screen after pasting you'll see something like:
sketch>point x y
psketch>oint x y
posketch>int x y

Good effort though Peter, merry christmas!

A small nudge in the right direction...?

I'm just wondering if anybody can give me a few quick pointers in the right direction...? I've got a VB project that I think is connecting correctly to my SoundBridge using Winsock. However, using Winsock.SendData to send commands such as "sketch" seems to do absolutely nothing. Am I barki...

Live Air Traffic Control for aviation geeks...

OK, one of my interets aside from this kind of thing is aviation in all it's forms. So I decided to see whether some of the Live ATC feeds work on the SoundBridge. Two very cool things happened when I tried: 1. Yes it works. For instance, the following URL gives live Air Traffic Control information ...

FWIW - mine now seems to be working again. See my last post here: http://www.rokulabs.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9075 As you can see, it's still not perfect because access to the web config is still intermittent, but everything else does seem to be working again. I haven't changed anything. It's esp...

OK, just after wideasleep's last post my HDD went U/S and had to go back to the manufacturers. All fixed and up and running again now, and strangely the problem seems to have disappeared. However, I notice a few things tonight: 1) I cannot access the Soundbridge configuration or "Now playing&qu...

Further information: It looks like the SB will stream radio from the internet with no problem. It's been playing for ages now without losing the connection, whereas with music from Firefly, it drops the connection repeatedly. OK, scratch that. It is occaisionally dropping the connection, and succes...

Thanks for the advice.
Router is a Belkin F5D5231-4 Wired Router together with a Belkin F5D7130 Wireless Access Point. Firmware is up to date, and the setup has been working fine until recently.

I will try switching channels.

Soundbridge randomly losing connection...

I'm starting a new topic as I think I was a bit off-base with the old one. Can someone please offer some advice or insight: My setup has been working flawlessly for over 9 months. However, just recently the Soundbridge has started regularly losing its connection. It has done it 4 times already this ...
