Re: New Amazon $5 free VOD credit.

Do people realize that not everyone has a Twitter account? Yes, I know, hard to believe. Would have been nice to have this mentioned in title to avoid wasting people's time.

Amazon adds another 1000 titles

By Rachel King | June 24, 2011, 10:17am PDT Amazon seriously stepped up its Prime video streaming options with the addition of over 1,000 more film and television titles. Now, Prime’s video options still aren’t nearly on par with the other vast catalogs of content available on Hulu Plus or Netflix’...

Re: Problem with Amazon instant movie purchases

Amazon doesn't sell movies to own in HD (only SD). You can buy in HD only tv shows. I think it's movie studios restriction (they want you to buy HD movies on Blu-Ray). While it's true you can buy TV shows in HD they are DRM protected. I can watch purchased shows on my HTPC using "Unbox" a...

Re: Onkyo receiver with older Sony HD non-HDMI TV

Other than Amazon-on-demand, there is pretty much no 5.1 audio on the Roku (as yet). In addition Amazon Prime Instant Video (for Prime members) is slowly increasing its number of HD offerings. I watched a Sylvester Stallone whodunit (Eye See You) last night in HD with 5.1 Dolby Digital. http://www....

Re: Cannot connect to my Marantz 7005 Preprocessor

There is no reason that I can think of that the Marantz shouldn't be passing component through to your 720p/1080i compatible Runco plasma.

If you're sure all your connections are tight, I would contact Roku for a replacement.

Re: Cannot connect to my Marantz 7005 Preprocessor

Using the 3.5mm to component propriety cable sold by Roku?

Are you getting sound (with the black screen) when using the red/white composite audio cables?

Re: Cannot connect to my Marantz 7005 Preprocessor

I guess I'm confused by your problem. The Marantz AV7005 has 6 HDMI inputs, 4 component inputs and 5 composite inputs. It also has 2 HDMI outputs, 2 component outputs and 2 composite outputs. Since HDMI is not an option then you are limited to using the component output of the Roku XDS for any sort ...

Re: Stupid For Movies

If this is a weekly show how would this became a Roku channel? Would it be a collection of all their old shows to access much like YouTube? I've watched a few and they are interesting and funny. LA Film Critic Association members Mark Keizer and Wade Major (The Digigods) - bring you this live weekly...

Re: SugarDVD Launches Private Adult Movie Channel

From your website I assume these are the current rental plans to access your channel via Roku:

I've read on various forum posts that this has been an anticipated channel for many.
