Re: M1001 and M2000 Mounting kits?

Therefore does anyone know the specifications of the screw holes on the SoundBridge? I would expect these would be imperial type screw threads rather than metric since Roku were an American firm. My M1000 and M1001s have M4 screw holes, so my guess is that the M500 and the M2000 also have metric sc...

Re: M1001 and M2000 Mounting kits?

Looking for some mounting kits for the M500/M1001 and M2000. I have several of these lil guys ticking away and want to buy mounting kits, but I can't find them anywhere. Anybody have some ideas? I suspect only customers who have previously bought a mounting kit will still have one. I myself am also...

Soundbridge wallmount details

Back when the Soundbridge models were still being sold Roku also offered an optional wallmount bracket as an optional extra. These along with the Soundbridges themselves are of course discontinued. I do not expect to find anyone selling one still and in fact that is not really what I am looking for,...

Re: Soundbridge M500/M1000/M1001/M2000 power issues

I have three M2000 units and have now got two with dead power adapters. They are only outputting around 7V instead of the correct 24V. Maplin don't seem to list a suitable replacement anymore i.e. one which outputs 24V DC, 0.75Amps, regulated power, and center pole positive. After some searching the...

Re: Suggestions for DAAP server for Mac?

I don't think FireFly can be run under Lion, and I have not heard of anyone successfully porting forked-daap to the Mac or more importantly to the ReadyNAS. As such that leaves just iTunes as a Mac compatible daap server. It is possible to run Logitech SlimServer on a Mac and have a SoundBridge conn...

While Roku have and are continuing to update and even upgrade the SoundBridge software and add new and desired features (so no complaints on that front), the hardware has if anything been moving backwards, not forwards. This is very disappointing. 1. One of the Unique Selling Points of the SoundBrid...

iTunes 7.7 fix

Many thanks Roku for the iTunes 7.7 fix. I did however spend the entire afternoon trying to work out what I had screwed up before I realised it was probably down to Apple. :x For your information I found that even when connecting via FireFly, my M2000 SoundBridges still showed the wrong track name (...

Apple Lossless is really the only way to go. iTunes and iPod will not (normally) do FLAC, and not themselves play WMA Lossless. While WMP will play AIFF, it will not let you add them to its library, and WAV does not support embedded artwork. In the past, it was thought due to Apple Lossless being a ...

In times gone by, it used to be the case that UK voltage was 240V and Europe was 220V (and of course the US is 110V). However for many years now, it seems Europe has standardised on 230V, certainly that is what I find using a volt-meter here in the UK at various locations over the last few years. Wi...

Re: Firefly 1.1b1 has been released!

Greetings, We're very pleased today to announce the 1.1b1 release of Firefly for both Windows and Macintosh. ⋅ Firefly supports many audio formats - MP3, AAC, and WMA. FLAC and OggVorbis are supported on Windows, and Apple Lossless is supported on the Mac. The above implies Firefly on Win...

Re: Cosmetic Playlist bug?

If you are getting the number from the screen where it loads the playlist on the SB, RokuMike said once before on another thread that that number isn't the real number... it updates the numbers periodically, so it might put 520 on the screen and continue loading songs. When it gets to 600, or whate...

Cosmetic Playlist bug?

I have Firefly 1.0 (1359) installed under Windows XP MCE 2005 SP2 with iTunes 7.0.2. I have the standard set of iTunes playlists and one custom 'smart' one and these do show up on the SoundBridge (running firmware 2.5.174) via Firefly. The 'smart' playlist (which Firefly lists as a static playlist) ...

I have two SoundBridge M2000 units both working with SlimServer 6.5.2. Responsiveness of moving between screens on the M2000 when accessing SlimServer is very sluggish as is pausing, skipping, etc., and it does not redraw the text properly, it leaves text behind when it draws the next [shorter] entr...

Re: Feature request: Update playcount in itunes library.xml

PS. This utility is for Windows. The only utility I have found for Mac is an AppleScript that monitors users accessing an iTunes share. As such it would not work with FireFly even if on the same Mac. Not sure which script for the Mac you are referring to, but if it's my script Shared Music Monitor ...

There are quite a few on ebay at the moment... Just make sure you don't search on ebay.co.uk, but ebay.com. Ask the sellers if they would ship to Europe - most do.
