Thanks for the updates. Its tricky because I don't want to keep multiple copies of my movies (1 for PB, 1 for laptop use, 1 for PSP...) and I would have rather just keep a version that doesn't take up too much space. I'll have to try out some of those options.

MPEG4 support

Can the Roku play mpeg-4 video at all? If not, is this something that a 3rd party could support or is that not realistic?

You can also use Mac the Ripper to output the whole movie into a single VOB. Its a pretty good all around DVD ripper.

I put in the power supply from Mirai a little while ago and my unit has been working great for a couple straight weeks.

Thanks for the great info!

Another update. Still haven't heard back at all from Roku!! Placed yet another call where they assure me someone will get back to me. I won't hold my breath on that one.

I tried e-mailing and calling over a month ago and I still haven't gotten any response. I don't think I'd be too happy about paying $50 for something that is pretty clearly a defect since so many have failed.

BTW - called them a couple weeks ago, they said someone would get back to me the next day... A week and a half later, nothing. I'll try them on the phone again, but this is pathetic - how can you just ignore e-mails and phone calls?

I still haven't heard from them. I'll try them on the phone and see if that helps. Thanks.

Power Supply

It looks like the Power Supply on my unit has failed. I tried e-mailing support a couple days ago, but haven't gotten any response. Can anyone tell me where I might be able to get a compatible PS? Or would there be any chance this would be covered under warranty even if the unit is more than a year ...

Could be slightly off topic but does anyone know how I can verify that the speed of the network is indeed 100 Mbps and not 10 Mbps?

You can check that using the Netork Utility (its under Applications/Utilities). It lists the link speed that the network interface is using.
