I think this can be fixed. I'm far from an expert in perl scripts. However, by changing the url in file t4local.pl from: http://xml.weather.yahoo.com/forecastrss?p=$locationid&u=$unitsid to https://query.yahooapis.com/v1/public/yql?q=select%20*%20from%20weather.forecast%20where%20woeid=1118370%2...
I get the data dump. I've run the command line over wifi and via the ethernet and I get the data dump. very confused now. Then it looks like Firefly is OK. What happened if you try to connect the Soundbridge m1000 direct to the router on which your NAS is connect, as suggested earlier by Bregent?
That IS odd!! To conclude on your story: - All the required services are advertised according to your printout (mt-daapd for iTunes, and RSP for your pinnacle soundbridge). - Firefly is running and working for your iTunes version - Your pinnacle soundbridge does not find the a firefly server via RSP...
doordevil1240 that's good advice and I'll run Flame tonight to see whats what. when you say "you can add the rsp service by adding the following lines to the file /etc/avahi/services/X.service:" where do you mean that file would reside? On the router or on the NAS? On the NAS. You might n...
I think the problem is in way the Firefly service gets advertised. It seems like your Firefly service is working, since it does get advertised to iTunes on your iMac as a "iTunes share music" service (mt-daapd). However, it is very likely that it doesn't get advertised as a Roku service (r...
You can stream your music with Muse-osx against an icecast server. When adding the URL of the icecast server to you soundbridge it will play the same music as on your macbook. However I noticed that Muse-osx crashes a lot. I think the same can be done with VLC, but I never tried. Good luck.
Yes you can, but I think the information provided is too limited. For instance; - What kind of solution do you have in mind? - On what OS should this solution run? You could use this setup, which runs on almost everything. REMARK; With this solution, you need an mpd client to control the music. This...
Mr dupondt posted the process how to add an url to the soundbridge. I think your question is: I've added the link http://www.avalonradio.nl, but it doesn't play on the soundbridge. I must admit, I didn't ran a snoop on the given url, though it looks to me that either your codec is the problem (Thoug...
Still playing a bit around with my linux box, and tried to come up with a better solution then before. I still used the icecast server as a base. Configuration is straight forward, and I think you can leave most of the configuration as they are. Then I installed mpd. Here I left most of the configur...
Since I cannot run the above mentioned StickRadio on my linux box, I started playing with this issue. I don't consider this a very good solution, though my setup does the job for now. I forward the output of the stream-grabber icecream to the stdin of ezstream , which on its turn streams to the icec...
I don't own a ReadyNas. However found this description. It is possible that you made an error in upper- and/or lower-case characters. Other then that, I cannot think of anything else which could go wrong with the iTunes server. As an alternative, you could use the DLNA/UPNP server instead of the iTu...
Sorry to hear that your Soundbridge Radio doesn't seem to power up. Though according to this thread, it isn't uncommon that these kind of devices die over time. Since Roku stopped selling these devices and dropped support as well, you cannot ask them to get it repaired. Though, some user on this for...
