Re: How do I store a URL to a Preset

In my case entering "http://192.168.1.2" in the URL window of my FireFox browser. I am not expert enough to know if this is the correct URL address for all cases. Perhaps you could clarify this. Yes... http:// and the IP address of the SoundBridge should always do the trick. Alas, the Rok...

Hi Tal... Have been putting this version through its paces for a couple of weeks. Wanted to be sure I understood the new features before posting. I have to say...what a great version! I can tell you've really put lots of work into making an already great app even better. Really love the new album ar...

Hmm... Nope, I think the digital outputs have always behaved in this way (much to the dismay of many Roku customers). http://forums.rokulabs.com/viewtopic.php?t=2298 and http://forums.rokulabs.com/viewtopic.php?t=4485 Leaves me somewhat curious why your experience was different before??

Not built in to the player, and requires an "always on" Windows machine, but works great.

Amazon's tracks aren't DRM'd. All are MP3, bitrates vary, but usually Lame -alt preset insane or 320 CBR. I think the problem does somehow lie with the length of your path and/or punctuation and special characters. I've had similar issues with various versions of Firefly in the past. But latest nigh...

Re: Ability to store and load presets from PC via Web interf

Did not have time to read the entire thread, so apologies if already requested, but I would like a simple way to save SB presets to the HDD on my PC and then reload them. This would include saving various versions of presets and loading any version via the web interface. ! fm.72's sb-sync utility d...

Right... It's actually the server that has to deal with it, and it's mostly about the DAAP protocol (although seems to affect RSP on Firefly as well). So I think the Roku devices are somewhat blameless here (although I do find it curious that the first post said streaming would work to some devices ...

You didn't mention what you use for a music server, but if it's iTunes or Firefly, it's very possible that you're running into the fast start streaming issue discussed here: http://www.rokulabs.com/support_sb_ts_playback.php Nero encoded tracks seem to be particularly prone to to this (but I think i...

This thread really has me confused on many levels! Anyway, oechsner. I don't think you ever said what platform you're trying to run Firefly on....OSX, Linux, or Windows? Your log looks like Windows....but yet we're talking about things like /var/log/ which is the log location for Linux. (Can...

The problem for us FLAC fans is that transcoding FLAC to WAV via Firefly does not give gapless playback. I have a *ton* of live recordings in FLAC format and the hiccups between tracks drive me crazy, so I never play them on the Soundbridge. Actually atrocity, I think maybe that's a Windows thing? ...

<nitpicker mode> According to Winamp's website ( http://www.winamp.com/player/features ) OGG-Vorbis and FLAC are supported for de coding. For en coding (ripping) you will have to download plugins. </nitpicker mode> <nitpicker's nitpicker mode> Hmm...maybe I'm blind (real possibility :) ), but I did...

Running the risk of "piling on" here...but I think it's a great conversation (regardless of Roku's plans). dupondt... While I respect and understand your opinions, there are a couple of items I have to take issue with. b. only very few portable music players (aka MP3 players) support them,...
