FS: PhotoBridge Rev. A w/ dead PS

Hi all,

My PhotoBridge has a dead power supply now. I'd like to sell it as is for $150 + shipping. This is a Rev. A unit, and includes remote and power cord. Replace the power supply yourself and save! Send me a PM or email to alan@halversons.org

Thanks,

Can the system play HDV file (extension .m2t) taken with HDV camera directly? Thanks.

Yes - I do it all the time with my Sony HDR-FX1. Others have reported that the most recent beta software allows playback of these higher-bitrate streams from Samba (Windows) shares. I personally use NFS mounts.

Just to clarify - I voted for Mac OS X, but also have a Linux server. I also only use NFS shares - never Samba.

I'll bet it needs a recompile for 2.0.35 firmware. Unfortunately I can't do that in the next few weeks - I'm on a work deadline, and I'm running on an old firmware (2.0.24 or 2.0.28 I think). Sorry ...

I await the SMB update pomised in previous posts by RokuDon to see if this gives enough extra bitrate and/or CPU cycles to MPLAY to reliably view HDV. I've got my figers crossed..... I don't think the issue is with bandwidth. I use an NFS share and can get 40Mbps and it doesn't help with high bit r...

Re: Server for PB, changing from Win Server 2003 to Linux

If I change to Linux are there any obvious issues I may run into that anyone knows of? Your raid controllers will need Linux drivers - many do, just make sure. Also - your current filesystem is probably NTFS. Linux has read-only support for NTFS, but cannot write AFAIK. If you have significant data...

Re: blatantly wrong place to post, but you all will know!

I would LOVE if this process were automatic; I drag music to my ipod, my computer knows to step it down to 128 kbps and then transfer it, then delete the smaller file. The worst part is that iTunes can do this, but ONLY for the iPod Shuffle. All they need to do is enable it for the other iPods ... ...

Extra RAM has nothing to do with reliability for HD streaming and decoding. You can run mPlay, MythRoku, and others all day on a Rev. A unit with no swap file. If you have 20,000 MP3 files and want them indexed in memory, that's another matter.

Why can't the Mini do this? If using a program like iMovie HD or Final Cut Express HD, wouldn't it play back the HD in full HD resolution? I think some people here confuse bitrate issues with decode complexity. MPEG2 at HD resolutions is not really possible on the Mac Mini. However, playback of the...

Not feasible at all. The pass through is electrical, hardwired to the outputs and switched based on the power state of the HD1K.

OK, thanks. Since I posted this, I've been in contact with the head engineer of the local Fox affiliate. He requested copies of transport stream captures from AOTC and the 24 finale. They have a Triveni Digital Streamscope setup for monitoring their ATSC broadcast. Everything looks great when they a...

OT: Audio dropouts in Fox HD recordings

1) If you have recorded HD programs from your Fox affiliate and played them back on the Roku, please reply to this thread with the call letters and city of your Fox affiliate and whether you have audio problems. Example: WMSN-DT Madison, WI - Significant audio dropouts 2) If you happened to record A...
