Re: Channel submitted in December is still pending review.

We are in the same boat. It is very disappointing to our team. Regardless of when our channel is finally reviewed, the lack of communication and professionalism in this area has forced us to find a different avenue to deliver video to our users' TVs. As the lead who championed Roku in my organizatio...

Re: HLS Troubleshooting

It appears that if the first stream the Roku selects returns a 404, that the player aborts, rather than trying another. Can somebody confirm?

Re: Secure HLS Streaming from Akamai (bug report and workaro

Thanks Joel! I thought that was already the default, but looking back at the docs, I see it is probably not. You might pass long that the docs are little unclear as to the actual default value as they read: ...Default is "no-adaptation"... but, it also says: "full-adaptation".......

Secure HLS Streaming from Akamai (bug report and workaround)

Hoping this post saves somebody the time and frustration I wasted: When requesting a secure, live HLS stream from Akamai (master.m3u8?[token]), Akamai will return two cookies ("_alid_, "hdntl") that must included in the subsequent requests for a particular stream's manifest (m3u8). Th...

Re: Stuttering movie playback with new Roku2 XS

Thanks for the reply. I've been tasting a few batches of videos today. So far, I've had the best luck with:

1280x720
3.2mbps average
Main, 3.1
H.264 (MainConcept)
Keyframe every 90frames

video plays smooth for about 6 seconds and the starts to visually "stutter" while audio plays smooth.

Stuttering movie playback with new Roku2 XS

Movie playback for our custom channel is stuttering on a new Roku2 XS

Video is:
1280x720
3.5mbps
Baseline, 3.1
H.264 (MainConcept)
MP4 multiplex
Stereo AAC audio

This did not occur on our previous dev box (Roku XR).

Any thoughts? Thanks for the help.

Re: Download to USB?

Thank you for the reply Kevin.

The lack of write capability seems to be contrary to your comments above and current SDK documentation. Was it removed? Are there plans to restore this functionality?

Thanks for yur help.

Re: BrightSign evaluation questions

Thanks for the info Lyndon. That is helpful. One final question:

Is it possible for the HD210w to play a live video stream over the network? I cannot see an easy way from the documentation, but I was hoping perhaps there was a work-around.
