I think you mean Circuit City. They're out of business so I don't think they'll mind.

takmad, any replacement contenders at this point? I'm still pretty happy with my PB but I have been looking at what's out there since it is inevitable that I will have to change to something else at some point. I've been looking at the Buffalo Linktheater among others. It looks promising but does no...

I'll try the CF thing.
I'm not getting too excited about editing the script since I simply used your excellent filebuiding tool. I'm capable of more, but, in this case you made it easy. Thanks

Thanks. It did work for the IP address issue. I also, just for fun, changed to "Use Large Font" and did not see a difference in font size. I looked at the script and it shows "use large font". Here it is: #!/bin/sh # # SlimRoku.app [SlimServerIP] [-options] # SXPATH=`echo "$...

Thanks Burkhardi,
Sorry, all of what you wrote is somewhat Greek to me. I'm not one to blindly edit script. I tried the filebuilder and it seemed to work, although it did slow everything down, including loading SlimRoku and accessing files.

SlimRoku finding wrong IP address

Hi, I don't know if anyone is monitoring this forum but here goes anyway. I have three computers (IP addresses--Desktop--192.168.0.102; laptop --192.168.0.103; server—192.168.0.105) networked together and use SlimRoku 1.6b with my HD1000 RevB. When I open SlimRoku it displays in the lower lef...

Now if I could only get SlimRoku working again.
Thanks

I got it. Your link did not work but a copy and paste of your URL did.
Thanks.

Put me down for $25. In the mean time, anyone know where I can get the previous version of Slimserver? I just had my PB repaired by Pyramid Audio in Austin Tx. $104 plus shipping to get it there. So far so good. They claim that their repair will help prevent the same problem in the future. We shall ...

No, I haven't. I've been reading about firewalls and it seems they are not really necessary when using a router because most routers provide an excellent firewall, including mine. While running my network this way, I tested it with ‘ShieldsUp’ and received good results,...at least I thi...

Hey Thanks Burkhardi. I solved the problem. It was firewalls. When I shut down my Zone Alarm FW I didn't realize the windows FW would startup automatically.

Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. Here's my update. My mistake on the SlimRoku version on my previous post, I am running Roku 2.0.36, SlimServer 6.5.4 and SlimRoku 1.6. When I try to start SlimRoku from my desktop it says ‘please wait’ for about 2 minutes and it will finally load but there is no fu...

Hi The Endless, I’m having a problem that hopefully you can help me solve. I’m running Roku 2.0.36, SlimServer 6.5.4 and have tried 3.7, 3.6 & 3.5 versions of SlimRoku and have the same problem all 3 versions. On-screen Roku has the SlimRoku icon but when I select it, it takes seve...
