because Roku units on the same account have a duplicate channel list the first thing to check is your account and make sure that only your units are tied to it
once linked and channels are showing highlight the channel you do not want then using the * key select remove -- this should remove the channel both from the particular roku you are using and the account it is associated with
I have seen this too and it is starting to peeve me because I see it on my Roku TV and my express and older HD do not exhibit this behaviour on the same video -- all 3 set to direct play
because deals are struck between Roku and programming "Partners " I have made the feature request that those buttons be reassigned to the first four entries of ones channel list if the partner channel is not installed -- to date this has not been implemented
if you have the roku connected to the actual routers ssid it does not matter what the laptop is doing ... turn the lap top off go to setting - system - network on the roku and scan for available networks and if your router has wifi turned on it should find it
well it is not something you can do with out using "secret key" sequences so I doubt that you have done it .. when you go to settings - system- about what is the exact roku firmware and build number it is on? Also when it resets is it a complete reset ... you have to re-register the unit l...
my first question is have you changed the channel store options or update server options in settings ? I ask because it sounds like the Roku is on the wrong update channel
