It would be great if someone affiliated with Roku would acknowledge that they are aware of the the audio & display issues that some of us have reported here. Such as my report:
My 4200X is also having audio issues with software version 9.0.0 build 4084 which was installed on December 12. Also, a Display Type issue that was occurring earlier this year has returned. Both issue seem to be related to an HDCP detection issue in the Roku firmware. My 4200X is connected via HDM...
I finally found a fix to the problem. The one second delay that I inserted did not make any difference. However, I changed an HDMI setting and now the system no longer reboots when I turn on the TV & receiver. At this moment, I can't remember what HDMI setting I changed to fix the problem (it'...
I also suspect that the Harmony remote may be causing the reboots. Currently, it sets up the activity in the following order: 1. Turn on TV 2. Turn on AVR 3. Set AVR to HDMI3 4. Set TV to HDMI1 5. Send Home command to the Roku I tried to change the order of the commands, but the Harmony configurati...
My Roku 3 has been rebooting a lot for the past couple months. It's connected via HDMI to an AV receiver, which in turn is connected via HDMI to the TV. A Harmony remote controls everything. The reboots occur when the Harmony is used to turn on the system. More specifically, it turns on the receiver...
I'm not trying to get around any rules or restrictions, or violating forum policy. I am just wondering if I can take my Roku with me when I go on vacation and then expect the TWC app to still work. Roku's channel description seems to imply that this should work, but several people on this forum (inc...
There appears to be conflicting information about whether this app will work if you're not using RoadRunner as your ISP. Roku says that you only need an Internet connection, while TWC is inconsistent. Has anyone actually tried it? Ideally, someone would get it working under RoadRunner and then trans...
I did find one bug in the program. When using the bleess app on the iPad to look at YouTube, the YouTube search function does not work. The failure mode is that searches always return the same results.
Could someone post step by step instructions explaining how to use this app on an iPad?
I installed the app, and gave it my Roku's ip address. Then I entered the CNN app on the iPad, selected a video, and started playing it. I don't see any way to then "bleess" the video. Help!
I guess that I should have been more specific when i asked the question - I am already very familiar with the pros and cons of buying refurb'ed electronics, and in the past have bought them with no problems. I am specifically interested in people's experiences with refurb Roku units. Like Apple, Rok...
Thanks for your response. I will try a different wireless channel.
However, I don't understand how changing the DNS would help in this case. Why would the Roku be performing a DNS look up in the middle of streaming a program?
I have a Roku LT that occasionally freezes when streaming Amazon Videos. It usually happens 30+ minutes into the movie or program. When it happens, the Roku will lock up and then eventually reboot itself. It does not happen every time. Does anyone have any ideas about what may be causing this proble...
Running the app on an iPad2, and followed the instructions on support.roku.com to get it to find my LT. It seems to work, but since the screens are designed for iPhone sized displays it's pretty ugly on the iPad. In addition, I found that there are human factors issues related to swipe gestures (lef...
