I would also recommend Logitech Squeezebox products. I currently have two M2000 and an M500 but almost always use my two Squeezebox Duets instead. It's much easier to find what you want to listen to with the Logitech products. One of the best features with Squeezebox products is if you own an iPod T...

RokuMike, If you would like test material I have a song which I sliced into 41 tracks at 5 second intervals. When played back as ALAC you can clearly tell that the codec is not gapless. But if you take the same ALAC files and convert then to AIFF or WAV then they play back perfectly. Let me know if ...

Transcoding is NOT gapless

Hello, I would like to point out that the transcoding feature in Firefly is not gapless. When transcoding Apple Lossless with a dts signal it is very easy to tell that Firefly adds a very slight gap between tracks. The dts decoder will lose its lock on the dts signal because of the gap. I confirmed ...

Hi,

I should have also said that this is a wired connection. I can stream AIFF files to two SoundBridges at the same time with iTunes as the server, without any problems. So it is definitely not a network problem.

Still skipping in svn-1249

Hello, I just updated to svn-1249 and the skipping to the next track problem is still happening. My test system is Windows XP Professional with iTunes 6.0.4 and Apple Lossless audio files. I haven't been able to determine what event causes it to skip randonly on its own. One time I was able to tell ...

Hello, It looks like I'm not the only one experiencing slow scans. Even at 400 songs per minute it would take an hour to scan my whole library, plus it would do this every time I turn on my computer or have to reboot. So if that is as fast as Firefly can scan I won't be switching from iTunes. Curren...

Hello, Yes all the music on the test system is in Apple Lossless. With "Version svn-1197" I used it for several days without it skipping once. Also am I missing something with how the scanner works. According to the log file it scanned the 438 songs in 3 seconds, but the scanner continues ...

Hello, The skipping problem I can't get it to repeat predictable. It will skip while the song is playing. The first two times it skipped within about the first 15 seconds of the song, but the third time it did it after a few minutes. And yes I did skip back to the track that skipped and it did play ...

Skipping to next track in - Version svn-1206

Hello, Since updating to version svn-1206 my M1000 will just skip to the next song while playing the current song. It has done it 3 times in about 5 hours of listening. It didn't do this with version svn-1197. My test server is using Apple Lossless compression. I also have a question regarding the s...

Hello, No you will not be able to pass a DTS signal through the M1001 due to the sample rate converter which does affect the digital output. This setup would work with the M2000, M1000 or M500. The change in firmware version 2.5 has to do with the S/PDIF validity bit. RokuMike said "Previously, in o...

Hello, I would say yes it is caused by the clock. VF Displays have a limited lifetime, the more they are on the sooner they will dim and become unreadable. I have personally experienced this with 2 separate Sony MiniDisc players. The model I had would leave the filaments of the display on all the ti...
