I've experienced this, and posted about this, for over FOUR YEAR now with my M100. No responses from Roku, just 'check your wireless' blah blah. Yes I've seen how important a pristine connection is for good streaming, but my Apple Airport Extreme (with wireless connection to stereo) NEVER has these ...

I don't know if it is realted to the problem or not, and I don't know if anybody else has multiple APs setup identically for roaming. (Unlikely now that you almost always have to buy a router to get wireless.) I have multiple APs and each has the same SSID. This is recommended (by at least Apple) t...

I've had this problem for the past TWO YEARS with my M2000! I've upgraded to every new version and every beta and ALWAYS this rebuffering problem persists. My sever is a Mac G4 running iTunes. Songs are ripp'd as MP3 at 192kbps. I have a Netgear FCS124G as my router, and four Dlink DI-624 waps (each...

There is no -debug flag, but if you can telnet into your Roku and run it from the command line it may indicate the problem. TheEndless Hi Endless - problem solved! I telnet'd in and the error code was a privilage problem. Somehow the server share that I copied the files onto (using my Mac, not via ...

Just to clarify, it is the MPlay.app file that you're copying over your working setup, right Correct. If I take my working MPlay folder (8/10/05 MPlay.app) and replace just that file with the newest MPlay.app (1/17/06) it fails to lauch as described. Do you have a -debug flag that I could turn on t...

Well, since no one else has reported any problems with the latest version and 2.0.36, I don't think there's anything wrong with the app itself. Where did you download the different versions from? Replaced which file? All of them or just one? And how do you know MPlay has loaded before it exits? Do ...

Can't get Mplay_3 working with 2.36

I can't get the newest Mplay to run on my Rev-a w/ swapfile running 2.36. Sounds like it must be some dumb mistake on my part, but here is what I need help with: (1) downloaded the version "MPlay_v3_fw2_1 20-14-24" (with the MPlay file dated Aug 10 2005) -- everything works fine! (2) downloaded the ...

The new firmware (.36) with improved SMB performance DOES fix the problems I had playing 27 mbps HDV (1080i from Sony HDV-HC1) files. So the combination of the latest MPLAY with the newest 2.36 finally eliminates my stutter and drop out problems. I suspected everything was right on the edge (over th...

Using the new .36 firmware I an now able to play HDV files (1080i) from my sony HDV-HC1 without any problems using SMB! A few points: (1) I edit my files using iMovie HD and "share" the finished product as a .m2t (mpeg-2 transport stream). iMovie HD creates this file type by choosing export to video...

Well, I upgraded this morning from .35 to .36 and am VERY happy with the results! My server is a Mac Dual G4 (runing 10.3), using built-in SMB sharing. I have some HDV (1080i, edited on iMovie HD from a Sony HDR-HC1) movies that MPLAY info show as 27.9 mbps. The previous version (.35) would always s...

#2 is a great improvement. I've joined the ranks of people shooting HDV and have quite a few 3-30 minute HDV TS files that would hang up MPLAY with the older version. (I have a REV-A box with swap files on CF). So thank you very much for this new version. Using MPLAY now my HDV TSs show video reason...

Don, I use my CF (512MB) for a swap and all my apps. I'd like to have the Roku automatically mount it on /mnt/flash1 as rewritable. I know almost nothing about Linux, but can use TextPad to alter files. What would be the easiest way to accomplish this? Also, is there a way to have the Roku automati...

I second that. I thought my Roku needed to be rebooted because of that behavior.... and of course it started right up again doing the same thing. It was only after waiting for all 9,000 images to be found that the applicaiton selections started 'working' again. -steve-

Hi Timt - any chance of posting a recompile that works with .17? I love your app as all my music is iTunes (on a Mac server) and this whole UPnP thing appears to be a step backwards compared with a simple native iTunes player. I know Apple won't authorize Roku etc. etc., so your program is a very mu...

TunesPlayer recompled?

Its been about two months since hearing about the iTunes player (which I love and use even with it flaws).

Is there a plan to recompile it for the newest 2.0 beta?

Thanks -steve-
