EMERGENCY - Data Loss - Please help!

So, as many do, I back up my files. However, I do not back up every day. Also, I have owned 5 laptops in my short life and I have never EVER had one hard drive issue in them, they are all still running. This weekend was my time. I am freaking out...waiting to tell the boss what I have lost. I have l...

Re: Help with 'videoplayer' "Resume Playing" functionality

Both of you guys are awesome! Thanks for all of the good information. I wouldn't be able to get this channel off the ground without the help and wisdom of a GOOD forum, which it appears we have here. We are getting ready to do an official launch as soon as we get a little more content up, and it is ...

Re: Help with 'videoplayer' "Resume Playing" functionality

In appVideoScreen.brs, change the following code from: elseif msg.isRequestFailed() print "Video request failure: "; msg.GetIndex(); " " msg.GetData() elseif msg.isStatusMessage() print "Video status: "; msg.GetIndex(); " " msg.GetData() to: elseif msg.isRequ...

Help with 'videoplayer' "Resume Playing" functionality

We have built our now public app, almost entirely from the 'videoplayer' example in the SDK. I noticed during testing and development that sometimes I would get the single "Play" button on the springboard, and other times it would have both the "Resume Playing" and the "Play...

Re: Clients Returning ROKU devices

Just researched on Crackle.com that there are 500 request submitted to them asking for parental control. Guess this isn't the first time it's created a problem......

Clients Returning ROKU devices

We gift our new customers with ROKU devices. We just experienced a return of these gifts because CRACKLE is automatically included in the initial lineup and their feature shows were R-rated, so that's what appeared during our demo. Our former clients made the decision that they did not want to do bu...

Re: Proper XML tags and data for ROKU

Thanks so much for the prompt reply. I'm sure its obvious by my question that I'm not a very skilled developer. I have been able to take the videoPlayer example from the SDK and turn it into the beast of an application my boss is asking for, but all the issues came down to the CDN that we were using...

Proper XML tags and data for ROKU

I have started with the videoplayer example code in from the SDK and I am currently working with the developer at our CDN. Our CDN provided a web service that would return XML feeds for each folder on our account, however, it would not work with ROKU. He has customized the web service so that it mim...

Re: Hosting for video files

I realize this is a very old thread but I ran across it and figured others might as well. (Notice: I am not in any way affiliated with any video hosting companies or CDNs) If you are interested in getting some of the best video hosting on a major CDN (aka Akamai) but can't afford it...look into some...
