Re: New certification checklist

Well I'm still confused as to why deep linking is a requirement if your channel doesn't participate in the global search index?

Re: Canceling all subscriptions?

Thanks. I see now that there are web services calls for this. I'd like to request that Roku make some of these API requests part of the Roku dev portal. If we can already list transactions for our channels, why can't we cancel or refund them right in the portal? It would make it easier to create and...

What is the "partnerReferneceId" as seen in the web services API?

I was looking thru the web services API docs (https://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc ... bscription) and many of the requests have a parameter for "partnerReferneceId". What is this?

Canceling all subscriptions?

We're getting ready to launch an in-app subscription option for one of our channels but I have two questions: 1. How can I cancel individual subscriptions for users? From the Roku developer portal I can run "reports" but I can't see how I can cancel someones subscription. 2. How do I cance...

Re: Changing price Tier??

Are there any good strategies for raising the price tier for everyone? Would I have to just remove the product entirely (thus hopefully ending every customer's subscription) and create a new one?

Re: Canceling in-channel subscription

Did some testing with a private channel and test user. The in-channel subscription indeed appears in the list of subscriptions for a user in the user's Roku control panel, and there's an option to cancel the subscription. Once canceled, the transaction was still appearing in the list of roChannelSto...

Re: Checking if in-channel subscription is valid

Ok I did some testing with a private channel and a test user (hopefully the only difference between a normal user and a test user is that the CC is never actually charged). After making a test transaction for a in-channel monthly subscription product, and then canceling the subscription in the Roku ...

Re: roChannelStore/billing docs = ancient & incorrect

Oof, It would be really great if Roku could make sure the docs are updated, especially for something as critical as billing APIs.

Re: End of PlayDuration throws VideoRequestError

I'd like to use this feature as well but the fact that it throws an error when the time is up makes it unusable =/

It would be nice to have a separate message type for when the video ends due to this behavior.

Instead I will have to just track the time myself and end the video myself.

Canceling in-channel subscription

How do my end-users cancel in-channel subscription products after they purchase? I saw  this page which describes how to cancel subscriptions that apply to the whole channel , but what about in-channel subscription items? Also, when they DO cancel, will it immediately end their subscription (and thu...

Checking if in-channel subscription is valid

For monthly recurring products, this sample code blog post  references a "expirationDate" property on the items returned from roChannelStore's GetPurchases(), but this is not mentioned in the API docs for ifChannelStore . It’s my understanding that once a recurring subscription is canceled...

Is offering a free app with an upgrade (using doUpgrade()) still allowed?

I have a project that would be good for this functionality. The ifChannelStore documentation includes info on using getUpgrade() and doUpgrade() to allow a developer to create a free version and a paid version of an app, allowing people that download the free version to opt for the upgrade right ins...
