Re: CAMERA App

I assume you mean IP address changes on the Cameras. Recommend using DHCP reservations on your router.

Re: Login/activate device issues with HULU app!

Just saw people complaining about hacked Hulu accounts. Have you changed your password as one of your troubleshooting steps? Password piracy is one of those unspoken problems that is prominent now. There are forums that share these accounts so people can get stuff for free. Recommend you make your p...

Re: Roku Tech Support

According to LG's specs, your TV only has a Dolby Digital decoder, not DTS. Roku does not transcode to a Dolby Digital format on the fly. Likely the Blu Ray player does. You need some sort of AVR between your Roku and TV that can decode DTS or a Server-level transcoding method like Plex or a DLNA se...

Re: Amazon Video Channel in Israel

Sorry to be stubborn, but I don't understand why Amazon is available on my other devices here. Amazon does not seem to have a policy blocking Prime Video in Israel.  They didn't checkmark the "Rest of the World" box when publishing the app on Roku. There's region boxes developers (in this...

Re: Mirroring Windows 10 laptop. I only see the desktop.

Window Key + P will change it, look for the Duplicate option. You basically have it set as if the Roku is a second monitor, not mirroring. Or you can drag the window over to the other desktop.

Re: Hard Wired Roku Problem

Oh, for crying out loud.  I thought a Switch WAS a "wired" router.  But, as I search around on the Internet I see where there is a distinct and separate animal called a WIRED ROUTER.  That's what I need as it will allow me to connect multiple devices to one IP address.  Now, I've REALLY g...

Re: The Reason Roku Does Not Support Lossless Audio Playback

We should now be able to pass through the 7.1 channels encoded in DTS HD-Master, as of the OS 9.0+ release. Wow, really? Checking this out. Pretty much the only reason why I use the Nvidia Shield. Might want to give a heads up to Plex about this. Edit: Well, sure enough. I started a 4K movie with D...

Re: Volume Control with Roku 3 in 2019?

Your TV might not have CEC built into it. Roku 3 remotes used CEC through HDMI to send the volume and power-on commands to Roku 3. Also, CEC is not 100% between two different branded devices.

Re: Roku Ultra and Roku 3 major connection issues

I heard on the internet and via friends on Facebook CenturyLink had some major internet issues over the holidays. I don't know if they have fully resolved the issue or not. Could be there's some problems still.

Re: ROKU Ruined Plex - URGENT ROLLBACK REQUIRED

Also, Plex has been changing the apps on all Platforms. My LG got the change first, then the PS4. Android got one, too. Plex delayed the Roku's app changing a bit because they had to rebuild it to accommodate the new API.  Also, if you installed Plex and started using the Roku Channel store, you act...

I can replicate the issue with BBC America. I use Philo. AMC works fine. NBC works ok. I am not in an area where ABC has live streaming, supposed to not be in very many areas, yet.

Re: Adjusting monitor display when Mirroring

Set the resolution to 1280 x 720. You could do extended display instead of Duplicate if you want to have 1080p on the PC and 720p on the TV, but it would would be more like a dual screen monitor setup.

Re: 3800 Remote control

I think the TV control is actually via IR if you are using the On/Off button. The actual communication to the Roku itself is Wi-Fi Direct. There's a direct connection between the Remote and the Roku, doesn't connect to your Wi-Fi Router at all.

Re: Need one Roku remote for two co-located TVs

I would get something that splits the HDMI signal rather than getting two Rokus. You won't get any functionality of syncing Rokus completely together in this way. Keep in mind that some apps won't allow more than 1 stream at a time simultaneously. You're not going to find too many options to do what...
