Re: Hulu Live

You will know when Hulu and/or Roku announces it. Beta testers are usually bound by Non-Disclosure Agreements, so they are not allowed to say.

So, those who want to order and import Roku into Mexico are going to have a tough time doing so now:

Re: TV Channels not part of cable SUBSCRIPTION

There is no list or knowledge base for this. Also, depends on the cable provider. Example, some Cable cos require ESPN subscription to get ESPN3 and some just require ISP sub. I guess it's easiest to just play around with your cable subscription to see what works and what doesn't.

Re: Newbie; Why are some of Rokus mainstream apps so badly designed?

Roku has a mandate that app developers need to start using the new SceneGraph instead of BrightScript coding by a certain date or be rejected. Also, there's a deadline for older apps to be removed from Store if they are not using SceneGraph. I think it's 2019. HBOGo came out before Roku had the opti...

I thought HBO Go was replaced with HBO Now last year.

HBOGo and HBONow are separate services. HBOGo is for those who have cable subscriptions and want to use HBO on their other devices. HBO Now is the standalone subscription service for HBO, where no cable subscription is required.

Curious, what firmware do you have? Also, do you see a word that starts with B at the top of your home screen?

Re: Got my Sling Account hacked, Sling denies the claim

Make sure you use difficult to guess passwords. Because there are people stealing Sling, Netflix, Hulu, HBO, etc. and leaking them to Forums on the internet. This also includes DirectTV, Comcast, etc.

At some point the Generation 2 based devices are going to be no longer supported, just like they stopped supporting the old Roku devices.

Nope, otherwise, I would be using it, too. They are very basic devices that are designed for home usage, not really for IT management.

Re: Channel Access Codes

None that I know of. Also, keep in mind, if you put in the code in a region it's not supported, it will not work. So if that's your goal, won't work.

Re: Channel Access Codes

Yes, there's a way to do that. The problem is most of the time, the public channels do not advertise what that is. So, unless Roku or the Channel Developer discloses the code, you have to use the Channel Store.

Re: I need to delete my "purchase" history please.

One way to do it is to Close Account and Create a New, but then that would mean re-purchasing channels you want to keep. That's if it's needed quickly and they don't have a way to do it. I am guessing this is an unusual request for them. Also,  (919) 323-3030 is the official number on Roku&#...
