Express that suggestion in the developers forum.
They need your advice.

No, express that to Netflix, not Roku. Netflix is pushing this to all devices not just Roku.

Re: Is Roku down?

From what I've read, the Roku 8 software will have a universal login.  Don't count on that. Apps have to support it as well. For example, Youtube supports universal login on any Xbox unit, but Hulu does not. To be honest, universal login is a convenience, not a necessity. Yeah, it's nice; but if yo...

Re: ROKU 2 Channel Problems

NDA's ???  Any way we users can submit feedback directly to Netflix?  Anyone else seeing this same problem? https://help.netflix.com/browse/en/132 Looks like a new version of Netflix went out to fix the issues people were having with it crashing while navigating (the issue I mentioned above). So th...

Re: ROKU 2 Channel Problems

This problem with Netflix began on Tuesday this week, Oct. 10.  Forced reload of System updates in secret menu, remove/reinstall Netflix, nothing is working.  Can we get some help from Roku support? You're going to have to wait until Netflix fixes it, they updated their app on Oct. 10 it looks like...

Re: ROKU 2 Channel Problems

Any way you know to force Netflix to reload itself or update.  It is not crashing my Roku (I don't think), just going back to the HOME SCREEN.  And twice, I was in the setting screen where you can see your build & updates, then I pressed the NETFLIX button on my remote to go into Netflix.  Well...

Re: ROKU 2 Channel Problems

Thanks for the help last week.  So since that has cleared up, just today I started noticing another problem (which was an old problem I had back in April 2016).  I was watching Netflix and finished watching around 6:30pm.  I left my Roku on the Netflix Channel, changed my TV input to my DVD Player....

Re: Which models are actually new?

Where are you seeing these specs? Does the new Ultra still have DD encoding capabilities? I'm wondering how it will handle AAC5.1 now. https://image.roku.com/ww/docs/compare-chart-products-en-us.pdf  No, they are not including the decoder either. AAC5.1, They would be marketing the feature if it we...

Re: Different Roku Devices 1080p Is Confusing

I think we figured it out with the post about the "Home Screen". Others have mentioned seeing a difference between the UI in 720p Upconverted to 1080p versus native 1080p. But no difference in the apps (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, YouTube)? Netflix I think will display in 1080p when inside the...

Re: Express forgetting password

Switch the two devices, see if the wifi issues follows. Sometimes DirectTV and others will timeout and will require entering password in again. Especially if you are activating high number of devices (or if your password so happened to get leaked on a public forum).

Re: Different Roku Devices 1080p Is Confusing

I understand but then why does 1080p on the 3600 not look as clear as 1080p HDCP 1.4 on the Premiere? Could be there's an issue with the Stick not getting actually up to 1080p because of interference on WiFi. Have you verified on Netflix what your bitrates and Resolutions are? Your TV will just see...

Re: Different Roku Devices 1080p Is Confusing

HDCP 1.4 is on all Roku devices (HDCP 2.2 is on Roku Ultras, Roku 4, Premiere Plus, Steaming Stick Plus for 4K support). It's Copy Protection protocol for HDMI (keeps people from capturing video via HDMI).

Don't see it in the specs, so I would say no, otherwise, Roku would be marketing the feature.

It only happens on the 43" TV; it's the same with either Roku unit.

You are correct, the older Roku unit is a Roku 3.

Sounds like more an issue with the TV then. Check if the Toshiba has a firmware update themselves for your TV.
I have a 60" TV, no problems with my Roku 3 device.
