Re: Feed Status - Going on 24 hours to update

Your feed file appears to contains errors.  There are several of these messages when I try to validate it. 2019-08-18 10:51:07.5300 ERROR Input string '1328.0' is not a valid integer. Re: Windows Channel development software customers

Guys, Thanks for the kind words.   As I explained in the email I sent to all users, beyond the short-sightedness of Roku, my hosting company would not budge on allowing me the access I needed to correct the issue.  The site was built using Drupal.  I needed access to the Drupal admin menu, and, they...

Re: Direct Publisher and Vimeo Pro

@37mediagroup - The actual limitations (from the Roku partner success site) are: There is a limit of: ⋅ 25 categories (rows) ⋅ 40 items per category (row) "items" does not refer to a single video.  Think of it as an "object".  Using a "series" object...

Windows Channel development software customers

Until recently, I was a developer of software tools for channel developers.  I provided such tools as the Json Feed Manager, MRSS Feed manager and the Roku to FireTV feed converter.  Due to a complaint by Roku, I no longer have a website to provide these tools to my users.  If you are one of my user...

Re: JW Feed Suddenly Not Working!?

Your feed file does not look like it conforms to Direct Publisher's MRSS spec.  You've got several tags that the spec will not recognize.  Did you forget a flag/switch when exporting the feed file?

Re: json feed not validating

Test channels consume your feed file immediately.  Hence, your changes are effective right away.  Live (release) channels cache your feed file.  Roku refreshes the cache every 6+ hours.  That means any changes will not become effective until the channel feed file has been refreshed.  You can force a...

Re: json feed not validating

At the current time, BIF is not required.  However, you should read the Roku developers blog for channel certification updates.  BIF will be a requirement in March of 2020.

Re: json feed not validating

I don't think the date is causing your problems.  But, per the Json spec, the format should be: The date that the feed was last modified in the ISO 8601 format: {YYYY}-{MM}-{DD}T{hh}:{mm}:{ss}+{TZ} . E.g.: 2015-11-11T22:21:37+00:00 Your date is  "2019-07-10T18:12:32.125Z" . "HdBifUrl&...

Re: json feed not validating

You should take a look at the Roku Json spec. That may shed some light on your issues. BTW...I don't think the format of the date you posted is correct.

Re: json feed not validating

These types of errors are typical if you are managing your feed file "by hand" with an external editor like Notepad.  It's very easy to make syntactical errors that invalidate the feed file.

Re: json feed not validating

Do not assume that if your feed passes a lint test your feed is ok.  The lint test does not check for all errors, especially logic errors.  Without seeing your feed file, I would guess from the errors you show that you've got a misplaced bracket ("[").  If you post your feed file, I can va...
