Yes, you can. I stream a lot of NFL games on my Roku devices. CBS, Fox, and ESPN all stream NFL games as well as college and will be streaming the new pro leagues in 2019 and 2020. Hope I helped clear up any confusion.

I tried a third HDMI cable and it worked. Must be some type of compatibility issue with them and the TV. All is good! That is definitely possible.
