Re: Using Roku in hotel room

I have a blog that many people have used that allows you to use a Roku in a hotel without having to have a router or hooking it up through another device. As long as you have a laptop, you can login to the network "as the Roku" and then the Roku can stream. Here's a link: http://traveling-...

Re: channels just disappearing!

You don't have to use a travel router to travel with a Roku, I do it all the time:

Re: Trying to Connect the Roku

Did you make sure the Roku was not powered on? If the Roku is powered on, you will not be able to connect to the network with a duplicate address.

Re: Using Roku in hotel

I just tried Technitium and it works awesome. It's very easy. It actually resets your network card so you don't have to. Also, there's a button to "Restore Original" that resets the original burned in address, and resets the card again. It only takes 5 seconds to change it, and 3 seconds t...

Re: Using Roku in hotel

Sooooo....how do I fix this captive portal browser log in page issue when at a hotel? If I have to buy some sort of router, I'm not into it. I'd rather buy another box that doesn't have the problem. Using a Roku at the Hotel (MAC Computer)

I travel a lot (Diamond status at Hilton), and I have a Roku2 and a Roku3. I decided to bring my Roku3 with me to the Hilton today, and I already knew that you can't use it because of the authentication screen at the Hilton, but I have a MAC book Pro and it's pretty easy to "spoof" a MAC a...
