Re: Accessing Channel Reviews

They really don't have 'written' reviews, only based on stars 1-5 & amount of stars/reviews given (ie 50 reviews or 5,000). You can see them thru the device or https://channelstore.roku.com/browse

Re: Logo Swap on Sub Channels

Sorry, I didn't see your response. Wow, they left you with nothing didn't they.  Not even the package files or anything?  I tested it out about a year ago, I thought they were self hosted & you fed Rokus dashboard the link, anyway its in the Dashboard section somewhere in Manage Channels. I woul...

Re: Prime Video Mobile App Control

You're Roku TV might cast or mirror your smartphone. Just goto Settings > System > Screen Mirroring. Then on an Android you need to turn on Smart View (might only be on certain models, I have an 8). There's a similar feature for Iphone, don't recall what it is & again might only be certain newer...

Re: Purchasing for family member in nursing home

Lemme ask you this, have you considered buying her a small Roku TV for the place?  This way, upon turning it on, it automatically goes to the Roku home screen, and the remote is the simple streamline Roku remote, with just Play FWD, RWD, & the up down arrows work as channel up/channel down. Typi...

Re: I am presently connected to cable.

It sounds like you need to change your TVs "INPUT".  It's likely set to Cable (ie the Coaxial cable cord input is what it's set/searching for).  Change it to HDMI if the Roku has an HDMI cord, or if its an older Red/Yellow/White cables it would be something like 'Component'. You should be ...

Re: Logo Swap on Sub Channels

That I am unaware of, I have posted in the other forum hoping it was the correct one, thank you for the advice. I do not see it in the branding area though, only for the main channel. But that would make sense if it is in the coding in a source file format. I just don't know where the heck to find ...

Re: Logo Swap on Sub Channels

Are you sure it was a Direct Publisher channel?  DP is like a Wordpress quick install template, as opposed to a purely coded one (.brs file)? I'm not aware of sub channels within a DP, but the branding section is in your Dashboard > Manage Channels > Preview & Update. You'll see a dropdown with ...

Re: LiveFeed URL Not Working

Are you grabbing the correct URL? It's not just the vimeo.com/video/3123464789  or whatever. You'll need to click on Settings > Distribution > Video File Links and grab the HTTP Live Streaming link. I've never done Vimeo Live tho, but just making sure your on that track, I belive it should have a .m...

Re: YouTube Alternative for Roku 2 XS

2011?? Gosh, imagine trying to use a 1981 PC in 1989, or 1991 in 1999, or 2001 in 2009. Technology ages fast. Even a 2011iPhone is probably worthless in usage today. PC's have caught up, and a 2011 PC is likely still workable (within reason, Excel, Word etc), but streaming TV is still in its infancy...

Re: New channel idea - Amazon Kindle Reader for Roku

I mean, don't you think 'Audio Books' have greater potential & market share than reading an entire book on the TV. Maybe there's a small market for it, I'm not sure I'd invest too much into it. Also, advertising. Would someone really want to sit thru a commercial break while reading a book on th...

Re: Windows Channel development software customers

Sucks to hear, I'd just recommended your stuff & was going to link it, thought myb it was just a general website down/maintenancing issue. I will say, was it just a cease & desist due to using the term "Roku" name on the site?  They have a pretty thorough T&C on their site if y...

Re: Direct Publisher and Vimeo Pro

My suggestion, ask Baradanikto about his Direct Publisher building software. I believe its just a data entry of inputs such as (Logo URL, Video URL, Video Name, Video Description, Thumbnail etc), then it compiles all the videos data and exports it to the JSON or MRSS feed that you need to build a DP...

Re: What happened to the aquarium?

It should be in your devices Settings menu. Go to the list on the left & select Settings, then there should be an option for Screensaver & choose the one you want. The purple city (I think its cool) seems to be the default one now, but you can choose a new one for yours. FYI they occasionall...

Re: HTML or WebView in RokuTV

You're in the wrong sub-forum of this board. This is the 'Direct Publisher' channel builder section, which is more along the lines of a Wordpress style template builder. Try posting in the other section. My 'guess' based on my attempts of using the SDK builder and limited programming knowledge, woul...
