Re: Please Help with Ongoing Content Stuttering/Hiccuping

I've been trying for months to find the solution to a hiccuping/stuttering problem viewing content on my Roku XR. After 30-60 minutes of watching (could be anything - Netflix, Amazon, whatever), the beautiful HD image starts to "skip" a bit (I.e. a person walking across the screen will ha...

Roku digital video player for DVR-MS, WMV, others?

Since the Roku video player is so good at what it does with Netflix and Amazon and because it gets connected into the home LAN, why not add codecs for .dvr-ms and .wmv and .wmv hd, and Quicktime? Then we could play our Windows Media Center recorded TV shows and other video files we download to our P...

If you have a Radio Roku problem (Favorites: 0 items, can't play stations) then we ALL have the same problem. Presets always work as they are local to the Radio and do not query the Radio Roku database running at Roku Corp. We have to wait for the Roku guys to fix their server.

Here we go again! I don't understand what is so hard about keeping the Radio Roku service up and running. It seems to be a simple service with not that many clients attached at any one time. Am I wrong? The server OS apparently is CentOS (Linux) running Apache web server. I suppose that is a fairly ...

Thanks for that info. I just emailed RokuLyndon at the address you provided. We'll see what happens next.

What has become of Roku? Are they so busy and successful that they can't deal with broken products or is business so bad that they can't afford to pay for customer service personnel?

Dead Soundbridge Radio

Several weeks ago one of my two SB Radios went dead. I contacted Roku through the Support area on their web site and provided all relevant details like model and serial number and asked how to get it repaired... twice... and have not yet received any response and expect that I never will. This is ve...

3 days? They are down far more than that this year, more like 10 days. Including right now.

We are working on a solution. There was a possible hardware failure.

Hard to believe that this is the total extent of Roku's corporate response to the most serious and most prolonged server outage since RadioRoku was released.

But that only helps the very small percent of people that use forums or would even know to go here. I am saying put Roku Radio Status indicator on the Roku.com home page. Any Roku owner knows how to get there at least. It would help every Internet Radio and SB user and for those who don't play Inte...

I absolutely agree. And add a Roku Radio System Status indicator to Roku.com home page. This could show "UP, DOWN, TROUBLE, MAINTENANCE, etc." and when clicked could show various data like how many users are connected to the server if UP, how long it has been DOWN and why, what kind of TRO...

Well here it is 12 hours later and still both of my Roku Radios are not able to show any stations or play Internet Radio.

Seems like a pretty serious problem in Rokuville.

PacketVideo's PVConnect streamer

I stream music from my HP MediaSmart Home Server to two Roku Radios using WMConnect. HP just released an update that includes PacketVideo's PVConnect streamer. This is so HP MediaSmart TV owners can get a richer visual experience on their TV's with HD movies, pictures, picture and movie browsing str...

I had the same thing happen. HDMI connection, powered up by plugging in power connector (becasue i had a network connection issue). I saw the start up screen, then blue screen. The LED was blinking regularly. Powered down/up was ok. Question: I have the Roku HDMI plugged into an HDMI 3-port selector...

I have to agree. My unit is acting a little flakey on occasion. Yesterday it would not go to the network screen, just sat there with the spinning circle thing. I powered it down and back up, then it just showed a blue screen. powered it down/up, nothing. powered it down overnight, powered up, finall...

Slow to respond to commands

I had my Roku Netflix box running the first day no problem. I had an Ethernet cable all ready to go so I was really surprised when I turned it on and it had WiFi built in! Did not know that when I bought it. Pretty impressive little gizmo. Kind of weird that it does not have an OFF button on the rem...
