Re: activation fraud

You're not gonna be one of these users that cross-posts completely unrelated issues to other threads for the rest of your time here, are you? This all started with a user who probably entered a webpage address incorrectly. Has nothing to do with the paranoia you typed about in your other thread rep...

Re: Roku Player Still Streaming YouTube TV When TV is Off?

I live in Small Town USA and have ONE realistic option for an ISP directly tied to the phone company.  The other options have up/download limits (satellite) that are untenable for anyone with any realistic online usage.  Five options? Dang, that's not a small town, not by my standards. ClancyCat I'...

Re: Roku Player Still Streaming YouTube TV When TV is Off?

Capped data on standard isp Contracts is something that is extremely rare these days, if you are on a capped data contract, you should move to an alternative ISP ( there's plenty of choice with ISPs/phone providers)  You should be able to get a basic unlimited ADSL contract ( speeds about 12mb ) fo...

Re: Roku Eating 1 Gig An Hour

I mean, there's a lot of factors, but 1-1.5gb per hour isn't unheard of for 1080p streaming. EDIT: A little googling about Netflix.  "Medium" which is 720 is roughly .7GB/hr streaming and high is 3GB/hr of streaming.  So yeah, using netflix, going from 720 to 1080 would vastly increase you...

Re: Something goofy with Amazon Prime Video and TCL Roku TVs

If you can reproduce it on specific videos, post the season and episode numbers so those of us can try it out.

I haven't had any issues with Prime Video on my TCL units.

Re: Mirroring from WIn 10 PC to Roku Express

Mirroring from a Windows PC has always been mostly a miss.  Mirroring from an Android where Google hasn't disabled Mirracast has always been somewhat of a hit.  Neither of them look particularly good on the screen.

That was a fake support number.  You should change any information you gave to them.  Never use google to find support phone numbers.

Re: TCL Roku TV "USB device requires more power" after 9.1.0 update, nothing plugged in

Yeah, if you don't have any USB device connected to the TV, you should never see that message. I've never seen it on my Sharp Roku TV, nor my older, smaller Insignia set. I'm inclined to believe it's a hardware issue with the TV, but if TCL won't offer any help I'm not sure what you can do. From th...

In the keyboard, along the right hand side is buttons to change to the "Character" keyboard.  You want the one that shows "!?#$%&".  This has a "+" on the keyboard.

After this debacle I won't be using anything Roku either.

Why.  They had nothing to do with your provider going flower up.  If they provided their firmware to you, there's no way for you to flash it anyway.
