With regards to the aspect ratio... SDesk os just using mplay to queu up the movies, so this would probably be an mplay limitation. I would check with them, to see what might cause this... I suspect that they compute/reset thje aspect ration between movies...

That is very strange... can you add the option %debug to the SDeskScan.cfg file (or create such a file with that content). When you rescan, you will see log output written to the sdeskscanlog file in the SDesk directory. CHeck to see whether that makes any progress, and also what is the last command...

Cool... glad to hear that things are working well... I will publish a new version with the mplay change tomorrow. In the meantime you can change the invocation of mplay in the apps/playmovie and apps/playvideoqueue scripts. Just remove the -noresume (I believe that was the name) option. Thanks, Sven

I was actually playing around with the mplay setup. I believe the version that is currently on the web server has -noresume specified. I will put a new version up that has that enabled (my kids are also complaining about this .
