Linksys WRTSL54GS

I have a Linksys WRTSL54GS (A router with storage link - plug in a USB haedrive and you have NAS.) It has its own media server which is mediocre at best. Is there any chance I can run Firefly on it? (Similar to running it on a NSLU2.) If so, how do I go about it?

More Info

I trimmed my test music database to mp3 only and now I can Browse by Genre, Album, Artist, etc. It must not like some file types though I haven't figured out which ones yet. Definitely no Search though.

Roku M1000 with Media Server built into Linksys WRTSL54GS

I bought a Linksys WRTSL54GS router a couple days ago. This router has a USB port and Storage Link so that you can connect a USB hard drive to it and have NAS. It also has a built in media server which I have been trying to connect my Soundbridge M1000 to. I have finally had some luck. I am actually...

Will the HD1000 handle CF type II (5mm thick) or just type I (3.3mm thick)?

CF & Swap file

I am a long time Soundbridge owner and I picked up an HD1000 a while back at an electronics store that was going out of business. It cost $50 had the remote - no manuals or box. I've got it up and running fine and upgraded firmware. I'm using MPlay and somtetimes video playback gets a bit choppy. Re...

I don't think the disposability has anything to do with Roku. Virtually any electronics item less than $200 will cost more in time, labor, and parts to repair than to replace.

I believe the manual say to remove wireless card if you are going wired. It can only handle one or the other not both.

I think the Linksys WRTSL54GS router (100mb wireless G router with Storage Link) has same issues. I am anxious to hear about any firmware updates that fix the UPnP issues.

WRTSL54GS Media Server

The WRTSL54GS is a Linksys router with USB hard drive support and a built in media server. Has anyone tried to use this with a Soundbridge. An earlier thread http://www.rokulabs.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7061&highlight=wrtsl54gs indicated an unsuccessful attempt but this was with older firmware...

Very useful.

Maybe some comments about the A vs. B version of hardware and using a swap file or not would be useful as well.

If it is hex, upper or lower case make no difference as A or a both mean 10, b or B mean 11 and so on.
