Yeah, I assumed that it could handle higher bitrates. It's just that 19.2 is pretty much as much as I've ever needed (gee, I wonder why). When I see other, competing products say "We can stream HDTV, but it's limited to 12 Mbps," I kinda have to laugh.

Not so much interlace jaggies in the luminance domain, but definite interlace jaggies in the chroma.

One problem I've noted: I have 10,000 tune library, and DON'T normally scan at start up. Of course, it does have to read that .db file on startup (and says "scanning" while it's doing so). Since the .db is stored on an NSLU2 served disk, it also takes longer than it might had it been hosted on somet...

The fact that it can handle/display real 19.2 Mbps HD video and doesn't need some half-baked server software are the two features that just keep me coming back again and again.

I rip with CD-EX in full "paranoia mode". Then, I use Tag&Rename to double check the tags against Amazon, as well as to download cover art.
