Re: Can we customize "TextEditBox" node in roku?

I am working on a roku app using scene graph component . I am using TextEditBox node to take input. My issue is when I type new character after specific length, newly character becomes hidden with "..."   but I want to show last entered character. FWIW, a bug / enhancement request ticket ...

Night listening mode is a user setting, not something a channel controls.

Re: Change in color of static image on ROKU

I am working on Roku application and sending static images to Roku for display of weather info Can you provide the specific image file being used, e.g. by giving a link to the file on your webserver or public dropbox? Then, on what Roku model(s) do you see the problem? If you can provide the Model ...

Re: Socket.ReceiveStr(1000) reads to the first EOL only?

It will just read (up to) 1000 bytes, I doubt there is any consideration of EOL there,. I am inclined to think of receiveStr () as just a shortcut for doing socket.receive () to a roByteArray and then returning . toAsciiString () off that So I guess to read to EOL, I'll have to read byte by byte un...

Re: 42 x 22 margin around screen area?

I've tried to search the docs and forum but nothing is posted about this non-viewable area around the screen when you set something to 0,0 position. When I create an object and position it at 0,0, 42 pixels on the left and 22 pixels at the top are off screen. If I set the translation = [42,22] it's...

Re: Channel to act as "Power Off" for RokuTV's

There doesn't seem to be a way to do this as Roku does not expose the power button via ECP  https://sdkdocs.roku.com/display/sdkdoc/External+Control+Guide#ExternalControlGuide-KeypressKeyValues For Roku TVs, you can use the ECP PowerOff key. This was missing from the documentation, but has been add...

Are you URL-encoding the ',' as %2C in the URL?

Something like .getName() - and concurrently (or alternatively) .toStr() to return a string with the name included.Brightscript Debugger> ?

I thought this had been discussed already, but at any rate, feature requested noted: :)

Re: FormatJson results in a lower case string

I have a json like: bodyJson = {         "userUUID" : mUserUUID,     }   ... For some reason, the string str is all in lowercase ("userUUID" becomes "useruuid") Associative array keys are case-insensitive by default, and in the case of associative array literal values ...

Re: External Control API Search Problems

The documentation has an example of:  curl -d '' '<IP-address>:8060/search/browse?keyword=film' which just seems to yield 404s no matter what combination of query params / verbs I try (POST, GET, etc). All of the other API endpoints I've tried work fine -- I can query ap...

Yes, I can see why that is confusing. GetInterface() is defined as taking an object, so it boxes whatever is passed to it.

The documentation is incorrect. Thanks for pointing it out.

The functions you mention are all essentially equivalent.

The behavior is intentional. Invalid is invalid.
