Netflix uses WMV, which the HD1000 does not have hardware decoding support for. As a result it would need to decode the video in software and I'm afraid the HD1000 does not have the horse-power to do this. but much like people wanting RadioRoku on the HD1000, the HD1000 can't do java I know absolute...

It didn't work for me when I tried it, which is a pity as SqueezeCenter 7 has some nice features (including the addition of WavPack support  )

Re: Interesting post in the Roku General section

So would I, but I wonder if they're too late to the party? How will they compete with the likes of AppleTV, Xbox360 Live Marketplace, and whatever Sony does with it's rumored launch of downloadable video this summer? And face it, media streamers are in abundance these days. A very interesting quest...

Interesting post in the Roku General section

Interesting post in the Roku General section (only just noticed it) http://forums.rokulabs.com/viewtopic.php?t=15913 We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join Roku’s Internet TV development team. I wonder does this mean a new type of PhotoBridge model coming out?

I downloaded the source code and made the change as suggested by TheEndless and have compiled it for 2.0.34. I gave it a 30 second test to make sure I could see video from VLC, but no guarantees that this program works correctly  http://members.upc.ie/p.mc.quillan/UdpLive_unofficial_2.0.34.zip...

If I understand your question correctly, you're asking can the hd1000 play a WAV file without upsampling (say). In this case, yes. The way I test this with devices is that I use a WAV file encoded in 44.1 kHz which is actually DTS encoded. If the media device does any modification of the output then...

Glad to help. Its a little strange accessing the video on the HDR-SR1, if you just try accessing directly the AVCHD folder you don't get any files, you've got to pull up the options menu and navigate through there. Never tried looking on the Sony site, must admit I'm a bit surprised there was no inf...

Re: HDV camcorder video plays well on the PhotoBridge

Anyone here have an AVCHD camcorder AND a PS3? If so, have you tried direct USB connection to your PS3 and playback your HD video? Yes, I have a Sony HDR-SR1 and a PS3. When you connect up the camcorder to the PS3 (and select the USB connection on the camcroder) an icon will appear under the PS3 Vi...

Monkey's Audio codec for fw 2.0.34+

Heres my version of the Monkey's Audio codec for the 2.0.34 (or higher) firmware. Please run the sonata application at least once before making these changes (the sonata application makes a number of files the first time it is ever run). This codec has a number of known limitations: * It will only p...

V0.4 of the WavPack codec is now available.

This version fixes a bug that prevented playback of WavPack files containing over 1000 bytes of RIFF header data. I've also added support for playback of 24-bit WavPack files (the output is dithered to 16-bit).
