That means you're not getting an IP address - and as a result your PhotoBridge has no networking capabilities and can't see your computer (and so can't see your shares!). So first we have to get this working. How is your PhotoBridge connected to the network? Is it using a wired or a wireless connect...

Just to confirm one thing - Is your PhotoBridge getting an IP address ok?

Well, I can only speak for myself, but I had problems trying to access shares with the default 1.5 firmware (and had read all the online guides), but when I installed the beta 2 firmwares I had much better success and was able to find/use all my shares. I was trying against a number of different com...

It would probably be pretty straightforward to port some code that could produce SNMP traps - but the usefulness of doing so would really depend on what you're trying to achieve.
Are you trying to get it to report status such as video mode (for example) or the state of a particular application?

Don't know if it has, I doubt it though.
What are you trying to do, get it to generate traps or do you want to be able to query it?

What version firmware are you running on your PhotoBridge? Networking support changed between the original installed firmware and the beta 2 firmwares.

Its got nice potential from a development perspective, but no use unfortunately for HD playback. Its video output is basically composite - no digital audio output either. But it is nice to see boxes like this making an appearance, and maybe a big brother to this could be (as you say) a worthy succes...

Whatever about our HD1000s, I wonder will Roku decide to dip their toes in the video side of things again? You've got to imagine that Roku would be in a good position to make a deal with Netflix. All I want is a nice up-to-date hardware platform (that supports H.264), has an open source API interfac...

Its sonata, the inbuilt music player, you have to use at least once before installing any codec - not Sonica.

I think its an issue with Nero alright. I've had a few avi files where Nero has a serious audio lag (couple of seconds) that VLC was able to play ok (or with only a small audio lag).
Most of my avi files play fine with Nero however.

Just to clarify this a bit more, I mean this as something that gets displayed on top of what the display is currently showing. So there may be a video playing, or a slideshow of images, and this message is displayed (say) at the bottom of the screen (like a tickertape used on the news/business tv ch...

Feature request - Text display on screen

The BrightSign is working well for a demo I am currently running at work, however theres definitely some extra functionality that would be nice to have. One feature especially that would be useful is text display of messages sent either by RS232 or ethernet. As an example, imagine we have a special ...

Nice! Where is the album art coming from, is it from a call made to Sonica (so Sonica sends all the album art to the Cinemar system) or does the Cinemar system have its own copy of the album art? The Nokia has a resolution of 800x480 so there should be plenty of screen to play with, I'd just need to...
