First off you should be aware that ripping and decrypting your DVDs is considered an illegal activity under the DMCA. I am not aware of any tests of this in the courts but it is an area of risk. I only choose to use the main feature of the DVD preferring to have more main features then less complet...

Are you running mythtv with the HDHomeRun as well? I ask because I forgot that I had Myth setup to EIT crawl my channels.. So even though I wasn't recording a channel in Myth it was pulling the HDHomeRun away from TVPlay every few minutes.

MPlay and UpNP

I'm noticiing that when playing a file via UpNP if its currently being recorded (ie: still growing) then MPlay will only play up to the point where you started. I don't know if this is a downfall of how UpNP works.

Glad you got it working..

For those using UpNP to watch mythtv on their roku, have you noticed that fast forwarding is painfully slow? I don't have any other UpNP servers or clients to know if this is a problem with Myth or with Mplay.

Roku Grandslam I actually like the idea of continuing the baseball theme. Not just an HDHomeRun, but a HDGrandSlam! On a side note.. how many of you already own a HDHomeRun (i.e., how many beta testers do I have ;))? TheEndless I own one. :-) I also run mythTV. (/me wonders how much I'd have to don...

We will investigate some kind of codec plug-in model. The BrightSign supports mp3 currently, but we will be adding more... Things brings up a huge question. Whats the underlying OS on the birghtsign? Is it Windows? Linux? or something else? The advantage with linux on the HD1000 was being able to u...

Re: Possible solution...

I've written a custom UPnP parser for MPlay to get around the bug in the Cascade UPnP classes. I have not done an extensive amount of testing with this, so use it at your own risk. You can download the update from here: http://www.permanence.com/MPlay/files/MPlay_UPnPFix.zip The zip file only conta...

Looks like a Nitendo NES System, at least it did to me at first. BTW, where are the HD outputs? On the side? I didn't see any in the picture. The HDHomeRun is an input device only. It takes up to two coax feeds and tunes 8vsb,qam256 or qam64 and streams the resulting feed over the ethernet port via...

I understand you can not make any commitments. If you decide to not pursue this, I guess it could just ...
