Re: mplay direct from the original DVD

I have the DVD player on my pc shared on the network. I can browse to it with mplay (or mplaydvd). If I'm using mplaydvd, when I select the "video_ts" directory, the "play dvd" button lights up. When I select it, I get "file open failed". I read here about people ripping DVD's for playback, but I'v...

I'll try removing one and see what happens. The thing that is strange is that the shares added through the GUI are always fine. They never drop. To me, that seems to indicate that they are mounted differently. On top of that, those two particular shares got all sorts of crazy errors when mounted th...

Hi, welcome to the MythRoku world! It is a great app and consistantly upgraded. :-) I'm running 0.18.1. I got it to work , it appears that it couldn't handle there not being any recordered shows. Once I recorded a show it started working. I keep getting messages saying that "the client speaks versio...

Re: Interesting mounting issue

Just wondering if anybody had any thoughts on this... Thanks to a couple other posters, I wrote a boot script that runs on my CF card. It enables the swap file and mounts 5 shares. 3 of the shares work fine while the other 2 fail in odd ways. The 2 that don't work are pointed to Infrant ReadyNAS x6...

I vote for the bug fixes and any enhancements. I have a very stable backend running two HDTV cards, knowing what I went through to get it stable, I don't really want to muck with it. If it is just me, then I will bite the bullet... I know I will have too eventually. Thanks for asking! I love this pr...

As long as we are discussing DVD menus, I'd like to state that this is not very high on my wish list. Most DVD menus are annoying and provide little value. If I want the menus, or special features, I play the real DVD. MPlay is great for getting right to a favorite movie with all the annoyances rem...

DVD navigation has been disscused before, and the problem is that the ROKU API doesn't provide some features we need. We contacted Roku with the list of required things, but they never got around to implement them. We could work with the existing API and force our way trough it, but involves a lot ...

SVN is the application that mythtv uses for managing their codebase (checking in code changes). It does a lot of the same stuff that CVS does. If someone says they are running svn they just mean that they downloaded the mythtv code and compiled it themselves. That way you can get bug fixes and new ...

Top of my list is whatever API exposure is necessary to allow our good friends who brought us MPlay to round out the FULL DVD functionality. In my mind this is the single most important step to keep this product competitive.

Just my 2 cents...

I have been trying to do this for a while now and finally stumbled on what works for me. .... Below is my script to set this all up: This is probably a dumb question but where do you start your script from? Do you run the script at the end of /etc/rc.local? I have been trying to use a smb share swa...

Has anybody looked at porting the kernel to 2.6 ? Best regards, Jon You know, I was thinking along those same lines the other day. I mean the X-Box was hacked to run linux, the ipod to play doom... Not saying I want to, or even could with my skills, but shouldn't it be possible to expose our own XI...

Hi Wiser,

Can you give more information? What are the full paths? Where are you when you execute the command? Although I am no expert, I cannot imagine you can execute this command if you are linking a remote system to a remote system.
