The app worked flawlessly on my girlfriend's Roku last night (and she has Frontier cable with much slower internet than me). I was very impressed with the improvement in only one night. But possibly I was one of the lucky ones?

NHL app was unwatchable last night on all my devices. Let's hope they get this ironed out for tonight's games as it's going to be another fiasco for them if they don't. Twitter lit up like a Christmas tree with complaints and problems. I don't think the tech staff could keep up!

Didn't work for me last night. Not on my Roku. Not on my SmartTV. Not on my mac. They touted this as a major improvement and all I got was a freezeframe of a game that wouldn't load. I'm of the feeling that this sets up a 2016 acquisition of Sling by Apple. Sling has stated in the past they've been trying to get approved for an app for the Apple TV. I suppose the coming months will divulge that, no?

USA network has an app for AppleTV, as does the Weather Channel.

I'd love to see BBC America come to Roku. It would be nice to see the NBC app allow live streams from the locals like CBS does. But we all know that'll happen when I'm able to fly to Saturn.

I'd like to see Fox Sports, too.

Seriously? I'd like to know if anyone else is experiencing this problem, too. I have yet to try the app.

Not in CT. I have Comcast and the service is uncapped. I believe I live in a state where usage caps on home internet service is illegal. Good news for me.

Honestly, I'm not sure what you'll gain by switching. For me, I gain the ability to have my movies in my living room and my bedroom. I rip everything into an iTunes compatible format (which is also supported by Roku, should I want to do that). Okay, so I tried that and couldn't get anything to play...

I have a ton of movies encoded as *.mp4s (so they're viewable via airplay on my aTV). Do I have to convert them to a different format in order to use them with Plex?

Can anyone here give a primer on successful use of the channel? I'd like to do the very same thing.

Yep, I figured that out. Knowing that, it's a really good app. Adds to my local news choices.

Nice app with a lousy interface. How does one consistently get it to play live news on the selected channel? Very strange build. It'll be very useful, but needs some work for simplicity.

I'm still awaiting an upgrade to 7.0 on my streaming stick. Not sure what new things that will get me, though.
