On your SoundBridge? No.

The only way to play such streams is to transcode them on a PC and send them from there to the SoundBridge.

But it could be the case that the AAC stream is not compatible with the Soundbridge.

Good guess! It's an AACplus stream which the SoundBridges can't handle.

Re: roku now supports screen mirroring natively! (miracast)

I have a 2012 Nexus 7 and can't get miracast to work. The compatible devices list states that the Nexus 7 is an compatible device but I suspect it is the 2013 and newer model, can anyone confirm? I can confirm that (see here for details). Although Wi-Fi Direct can be enabled in the Wi-Fi settings M...

Re: roku now supports screen mirroring natively! (miracast)

The new 635 in particular is said to be a Miracast-er According to Microsoft the Lumia 635 supports Miracast . And although on the same page Microsoft state that the Lumia 630 and 630 Dual SIM do not support Miracast, in reality they do (I have a 630 Dual SIM and screen mirroring works fine with a ...

Re: Netflix launching soon in many European countries

I signed up for the one month free trial today so here's a short follow-up. It's not possible to activate the Roku for Netflix Germany, as the device doesn't receive the required code. I contacted Netflix support and they told me that Roku's devices "aren't yet supported in Germany, but we're w...

Re: Bad links, or streams my M500 can't play?

Hello Sean, both "WRTI - Jazz 90.1 FM Philadelphia, PA" (ID: 13097) and "WRTI 90.1 HD1 Philadelphia, PA" (ID: 13280) play A/OK on my SoundBridges. The audio URLs listed in Radio Roku are the official ones as given on WRTI's website. If you have stored the station(s) in your M500'...

Re: Edit Station Information

Rick, How do I appeal that decision or ask for a reevaluation of your naming standards. You can always contact Roku's customer support, but IMO that's pointless. Like the SoundBridge range of products Radio Roku has practically been EOL since 2009. It's code and database are heavily outdated and Rok...

Re: Edit Station Information

Rick, unfortunately Radio Roku's naming convention does not allow to make the changes you requested. According to the style guide the names of all stations with call letters have to correspond to the pattern "call letters followed by frequency followed by location". I have therefore added ...

Re: Roku vs the World

Did they miss something (i.e. forgot any inconvenient truths)? As far as the Chromecast is concerned they (Roku) missed quite a few things: 1) There are far more than only 15 entertainment channels (apps) available for the Chromecast (see http://www.google.com/chrome/devices/chromecast/apps.html )....

Re: Edit Station Information

Hi Rick, welcome to the forums. The information shown in the top row of a SoundBridge's display when a station is played is not provided by Radio Roku but by the station's streaming server which usually sends so-called metadata with the audio stream. In case of WBGL and WCIC the metadata consists of...

Re: Playing aac streams

I don't understand how the various AAC Plus formats differ from each other. If you're not afraid of reading technical stuff, you'll find comprehensive information here and here . The stream (codec) analysis you posted lacks important information (SBR, PS etc.) and therefore doesn't tell where the d...
