Re: destination america go

Do you have a cable/satellite subscription that includes Destination America? Is that what you meant by entering the code?

Re: Video Apparently Cropped, Edges of Video Off Screen

Is it on the same input as the old Roku? Does your TV have a separate screen setting for overscan?

Re: NASA channel not loading

There is now "Joe Screwdriver's NASA Channel" that works, and does not appear to have any ads.

Re: Roku 2 RF bursts

I knew it was using wifi for the remote, but thought it would only be sending out signals when I press buttons on the remote sending signals to the base at that time. Not sure why the base needs to blast every two minutes. Thanks for the help. My guess is that it does that to verify the remote is s...

Re: Connect to your cable tv provider?

The Roku is just a streaming device. Most channels, especially the "cable" networks will require some form of subscription. If you have a cable/satellite subscription, you may be able to access full content by using your login info from the cable/satellite company. Some others offer their ...

Re: Re-registering Access Code frequency

It's not a Roku issue, but your video provider and/or media companies. I run into the same issues with the network apps on my phone.

Re: What happened to the official NASA Television channel?

NASA has never had it's own official Roku channel. It's always been some sort of third-party offering access, usually after showing some ads to make money. I just found a "Joe Screwdriver's NASA Channel". Right now, it has a note saying NASA made some changes on January 4, and he is workin...

Re: Express (2017) opinions

Just a note I did get the Express. Seems to work well and the speed doesn't seem all that different than my Roku 4. Just rather annoying having to authorize all the channels! Too bad they don't make authorization common across all linked Roku's.

Express (2017) opinions

In my bedroom, I have been using a Sony BDP-S5500 BD player for streaming. Unfortunately, over the past month or two, a Netflix update has rendered it useless. After a few minutes, if that, it will freeze up the player while streaming. Amazon, YouTube, and Opera TV work fine. Since I never really us...

Re: Roku CBS app. Did CBS put everything behind pay wall?

Do you have a cable/satellite service it is tied to? That should open up some stuff with TV Anywhere. Otherwise, I'm not sure what, if anything, would be available without some form of subscription.

YouTube TV will launch Roku and Apple TV apps in early 2018

The apps for Roku and Apple TV , originally slated to launch before the end of 2017 , are now scheduled for the first quarter of 2018. Also planned for the Q1 timeframe, a YouTube representative told me, are apps for older smart TVs , namely Samsung sets from 2014 and 2015, and Sony TVs that use th...

Re: Bass extremely murky

Check the TV's audio settings while using the Roku, and compare them against the audio settings when using another input. Are they the same? The TV may use different settings for each input.

Re: Audio only on Roku Channel

It's most likely copy protection.DVD recorders generally will recognize copy codes embedded in the data. The other channels you mentioned probably don't block recording.

Re: Live TV Pause "USB too slow"

I received the same message with an Adata Pro S102/32GB USB 3.0 stick.  It is supposed to have 25Mbps Write speeds.  Is that not fast enough?  Roku/TCL needs to list minimum specs so I can know what to buy, not just "modern" since this seems modern to me. This article give info you can us...
